5.0 out of 5 stars An interesting book about the stages of growing up
This book is really good. I always felt like I was Stacey ever since 1988 when I was 12. We looked alike and like clothes and shopping. Anyway I could identify with what she was feeling although sometimes I felt like she was a snob and went overboard being to embarrassed by her BSC friends's behavior. Sure, Kristy's behavior was totally inappropriate and if I was...

3.0 out of 5 stars The characters were a stretch
I really didn't believe that Kristy would act that obnoxious...a lot of the things the characters did were out of character. The author bent them to fit the story. Also, Claudia got furious at Stacey for having the party and inviting her ("putting her in the middle"), but Claudia is the one that chose to go...it's on her head, if you ask me. So, it was a bit annoying, but...

This book is really good. I always felt like I was Stacey ever since 1988 when I was 12. We looked alike and like clothes and shopping. Anyway I could identify with what she was feeling although sometimes I felt like she was a snob and went overboard being to embarrassed by her BSC friends's behavior. Sure, Kristy's behavior was totally inappropriate and if I was Stacey I would have reacted the same way. And Dawn was rude. I didn't really care for Stacey's new group of friends; they seemed dull. The conclusion was sad and the part where Stacey stands up to the BSC and Kristy the bossy old cow was cool! I loved the dialogue!

4.0 out of 5 stars Title says it all, October 3, 2011

Yes, the title really does say it all. The Baby-Sitters Club is a fun club to be part of, but of course the girls have lives outside of the club, and this book shows that. It shows a realistic way of how the group you are part of is not your whole life.

Also, Claudia got furious at Stacey for having the party and inviting her ("putting her in the middle"), but Claudia is the one that chose to go...it's on her head, if you ask me. So, it was a bit annoying, but we still thought the book was OK...so 3 stars.

4.0 out of 5 stars life outside the club, July 3, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Stacey vs. the BSC (Baby-Sitters Club, 83) (Paperback)
this book felt different from the other books it's all about Stacey point of view you can agree w/ her or not. but it's how she feel bn in the baby-sitter club has stared to affect her social life outside the club. She can't hang out w/ her boyfriend and new friends as much as she wants to because of the club meetings and the baby-sitting. And she also has stared to think her new friends act more mature than her club friends. The club ESPECIALLY kristy don't act the way she bn acting such as breaking up promises, doing something she was not suppose to be doing while baby-sitting, bn late for more than one meeting. In the end there was a confrontation between all of them. Read the book to find out if Stacey stays in the club or quits. :0)

5.0 out of 5 stars Cool!, June 6, 2005
This review is from: Stacey vs. the BSC (Baby-Sitters Club, 83) (Paperback)
Is Stacey outgrowing the BSC?. Well, Kristy fired her because she quit the club. After quitting the club, she starts to have new friends and is working at Bellair Department Store.

I couldn't believe this one, but I would feel exactly like Stacey does. Excellent job, Ann. You showed how the BSC isn't everything.
