Stacie Rocks With Her Sophomore Album!,
By "bbmakchick82" (music rocks!) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Stacie Orrico (Audio CD)
Not being a Christian, I was hesistant to buy Stacie's CD due to the fact that she has been classified as a Christian singer. After listening to the tracks online, I knew I had to get this CD. Here's a breakdown:1. Stuck - This is the first single which is currently burning up the charts over at TRL. Very poppy and upbeat. Stacie sings about being stuck in a relationship even though she knows she should move on. 5/5 2. More To Life - Very upbeat, written by singer Lucy Woodward. Stacie has said that she wants this to be her next single. Great song for all ages, all about going after your dreams and not settling for second best. 5/5 3. Bounce Back - Upbeat with a sort of R&B, pop feel going. Stacie sings about not letting things get you down. 4/5 4. I Promise - Ballad but not the annoyingly slow kind. Stacie sings about promising to always be there. 4/5 5. Instead - Great song that really makes you think. Stacie sings about seeing a homeless man, among other things, and thinking that maybe he's not really homeless when asking for money and ignoring him. But then she wonders what if it was her in his place? 5/5 5. Security - Great upbeat song. 5/5 8. Strong Enough - Slow ballad but very beautiful. Again, Stacie talks about being strong enough to get through things. 5/5 9. I Could Be The One - The best track on this CD. Very poppy, dance oriented. Christian overtones as Stacie sings about crashing down but then God showed her the way. Very cool song! 6/5 10. Maybe I Won't Look Back - Another AWESOME track! Mid-tempo. Stacie sings about how a friend called her and sounded down but she told her she couldn't talk because she had something else to do. So now she's not very proud of the way she has lived life today and sings about how to be better. Very cool message and a great track! 6/5 11. Tight - Great clubbing song. Tight club beat at the end. 5/5 12. That's What Love's About - Mid-tempo, R&B vibe. Nice way to end the CD. 4/5 So if you are hesitating about getting the CD due to the fact that Stacie has been classified as Christian, don't! Go out and get this CD today. I guaranteee it won't leave your CD player for a LONG time; I know mine hasn't yet!

love it,
This review is from: Stacie Orrico (Audio CD)
I just got this cd yesterday and I love all the tracks on this cd. I love the cool R & B sound, its very edgy. Some songs are about relationships, others are about faith without being pushy, its all good though. This is a great mainstream debut and I'm so glad that I got it. The sound is edgy and the lyrics are more mature. Its great. I recommend it, I'm in my 20s and I like it. Stacie used to be in the CCM (Contemporary Christian Music) business, and this is her mainstream cd since she's trying to crossover. Anyway its obvious that some songs are subtly about her Christian faith. 1. Stuck-this song is about a girl being stuck in a relationship, even though the relationship isn't healthy she still loves the guy, hence the lyrics "I love you but I hate you...I feel like such a fool, I'm stuck on you." 2. (There's gotta be) More to Life- talks about having more depth to life, that there's gotta be more to life than what one sees around them. Even though Stacie doesn't come out & say it on this cd, I'm sure that she's probably talking about God & her Christian faith. 3. Bounce Back-This song can have different meanings to many people but to me it just meant about trusting & moving on in life. 4. I Promise-This song is about being there for someone no matter what. 5. Security-this song is about someone who once was alone but has found their "security" in God. I really liked it. 6. Instead-this is a deep song. Its about putting yourself into someone else's shoes and understanding their pov, its about being kind to others and reaching out to them. I've never heard anything this deep coming out of a teen pop singer or any pop singer. 7. Hesitation-this song is a bit more bold and it talks about not hesitating anymore and putting your trust in God. 8. Strong Enough-this is a slow ballad and its basically about God being strong enough to bring you out of whatever you're going through. 9. I could be the one-this song talks about how God can use anyone to accomplish His will. 10. Maybe I won't look back-We all make mistakes and just because we made them, we shouldn't beat up ourselves over them. The song talks about having the right priorities, and Stacie Orrico sings a bit about trusting God and since He forgives, maybe she won't have to look back at all her past mistakes. 11. Tight-this song is about being "tight" with God, its also a cool party song. 12. That's What Love's About-this song talks about what love is. That love is all about being kind & helping each other out.

A very beautiful and addicting CD,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Stacie Orrico (Audio CD)
I am not a Christian, however I am very open minded, and when I heard her "Stuck" on the Stuck in the Suburbs soundtrack, I immiediately fell in love with it. Her voice is unique, popish and pretty too, not like Hilary Duff, who is popish and babyish too.
Here are my individual ratings: "Stuck" 5/5 - This song, and "More to Life" have to be my faves. A great song and is upbeat and fun. "More to life" 4.5/5 - This song relates to a lot of people, and its just a good song, and I loved it when I first heard it. "Bounce back" 4/5 - This song is addicting. i love it! "I promise" 3/5 - Yea, ok this song I could life without. The vocals are nice, it just doesn't work with me. "Security" 4/5 - I really like this song, its different, because it sounds like a mix of hip hop and pop, which is pretty cool. "Instead" 4.5/5 - An overall good song. It really touches me. "Hesation" 4.5/5 - I LOVE THIS SONG! its really good, and a great beat, so this song works with me! "Strong enough" 4/5 - Its just so lovely, I really love this one "I could be the one" 4/5 - Its a good dance song:) "Maybe I won't look back" 4.5/5 - I think this song is a pretty good song:) "Tight" 4/5 - its good, a club song:) "What loves about" 4/5 -A great song, pretty and slow Vocals: 4.5/5 Lyrics: 4.5/5 Album: 4.5/5 :)

"Stuck" in my mind,
By A Person "Hi" (I dont know) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Stacie Orrico (Audio CD)
I absolutely love Stacie. She has a truly beautiful voice. Now I'm 14 (three years younger than her!) and can siing, but I just can't live up to Stacie!1) Stuck- This song gets "stuck" in my head! One of my favorites! 5/5 2) More to Life- My sisters favorite song, I don't get what's so great about it...but I do think people can relate to it. 4/5 3) Bounce back- A catchy song, the first one relating to God. I'm not that religious, but I really do like this song! 4/5 4) I Promise- A sweet ballad. It was written by Diane warren. stacie's voice is exraoridinary. 5/5 5) Security- This will not get out of my head! It's catchy, upbeat, and rreligious at the same time5/5 6) Instead- A great song about imagining what it would be like to be a homeless man and a Muslim woman. It's great. 5/5 7) hesitation- Awesome! one of my faves, next to Stuck and Strong Enough. It's catchy and about how you can turn to God for help. 5/5 8) Strong enough- My favorite song. It's a ballad that Stacie wrote herself. "Is He not/ Strong enough/ Is he not/ Brave enough/ to break me, pour me out and start again" OMG this is the best! 6/5 9)This one gets stuck on my CD player. I wish i knew what it sounded like :( 10)Maybe I won't look back- Umm, OK, but not as good as the other songs. 3/5 11) Tight-I love the little dance thing at the end! But the whole song is danceable! It's very good! 5/5 12)That's What love's about- This song is about helping others out and stuff. My least favorite track. 3/5 anyway, that about sums it up. Stacie's voice is great, and her songs are great, so why not buy it?

It Just Gets Better And Better,
By Raine (United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Stacie Orrico (Audio CD)
I got this cd the other day and it is wonderful. All the songs are easy to listen to, yet full of meaning.Stuck - 10/10 If this song isan't stuck in your head on, it will be. It has get lryics and is a great opener. (There's gotta be) More to Life - 9/10 The chorus is wonderful. It stands out on the album as one of the best. Bounce Back - 7/10 This is not my favorite track, but it's still great. I Promise - 9/10 This is a very sweet ballad. You will want to listen to it more than once. It was written by Diane Warren. Security - 9/10 The beginning of this song is not my favorite, but once the chorus starts, it because's a true classic! Instead - 11/10 The best song on the album. The beat is wonderful, and there is a lot of meanning in this song. It's perfect for anyone. This song alone is a good enough reason to buy this album. Hesitation - 7/10 Not my favorite but still good. Even though it's not my favorite I still listen to this song as much as the others. Strong Enough - 10/10 This is a very powerful song. It's are as easy to listen to, because it has such a strong message, but it is wonderful. I could Be The One - 7/10 A good song, but not the best on the album. Maybe I Won't Look Back - 9/10 I like the chorus to this song. Like many of Stacie's song's this one is full of meaning. Tight - 9/10 A good song. It grows on you a lot. That's What Love's About - 9/10 This song is beautiful, and a perfect track to end the album with. The great thing about this album, is that it comes from the heart. "Stuck" was the only song by Stacie that I had heard before I bought this, and believe me, it's worth it.

"Stuck" on this cd!,

You know an album is going to be good when you like the artist's song the first time you hear it. Luckily I was right. Here are the songs:1. Stuck- Like I said I loved this the first time I heard this. VERY catchy. The reason I bought the cd. It's about trying to move on but still being stuck on the person you're trying to forget. 2. More To Life- meaningful lyrics. catchy beat and good choice for next single. It's about wondering if there's more to life than being satisfied with something that makes you temporarily satisfied. 3. Bounce Back-I don't listen to this much. It's okay but mostly filler to me. 4. I Promise- I hated this song at first. I thought it was boring and I was mad when I heard it was going to be the next single. I kind of like it now tho but I still don't think it should be a single. It's about promising to always be there for a person. 5. Security- Catchy song but I also think its mostly a filler track. I do listen to it though sometimes. 6. Instead- Wow I love the lyrics in this song. The beat is kind of weird but its cool. It's about treating people who are different than you with the same respect you'd want from them if you were in their shoes. This would be a great video if it was a single. 7. Hesistation- "why do you spend all your time, watching life pass you by hanging on to your pride...?" so begins this song. One of my favorites. This could be a single. It's very catchy. It's about basically not letting your life pass you by. Get off your butt and do something!! is what she's basically saying. 8. Strong Enough- I luv, Luv, LUV this song!!! It's just beautiful and she sings it beautifully.I'm a Christian and if I could sing I would sing this in church and I know everone would be crying. It's about realizing how wonderful and powerful God is. Even if you're not religious you should give this song a chance. 9. I Could Be the One- Yet another song that I did not like at first. It has a kind of techno beat. But I just lisetend to the whole song one day and found that yes it's another catchy song! I especially like the part when she goes: "Doesn't matter who I am or where I'm from.." 10. Maybe I won't Look Back- Here it is: MY FAVORITE SONG ON HERE!!!! I don't know what that one reviewer was saying about it being creepy. W/e it's not creepy it's great! Her voice sounds really cool in this song. It's about choosing the type of person you want to be. Extremely catchy. If Orrico doesn't make this is a single she's CRAZY!! 11. Tight- I don't listen to this song really but I do like when the beat changes at the end of song. I have to admit that's pretty "tight". 12. That's What Love's About- This is a nice ballad and a nice way to close the album. It's about helping people when they're down. AND THAT'S ALL FOLKS!!No but seriously this really is a great cd. I don't know why some people were criticizing her about not singing about God in every song. Even though she doesn't, every song IS positive with a good message which is in fact very God-like to me. Another thing that drew me to this cd is Stacie Orrico's voice. She can actually sing and you can tell that she really sounds like that in real life and it just wasn't changed to sound like that. Plus Ive heard her sing live so I know she really sounds like she sounds on her cd. She kind of reminds me of Christina Aguilera who also has an amazing voice. Anyhow you should definitely go out and get this. You will not be disappointed. My only complaint was that it was too short.

Christian Pop's edgiest album to date...,
By
This review is from: Stacie Orrico (Audio CD)
I was really expecting to hear some good ole' Christian Girl songs when I bought this CD for my sister, (no, I really did buy it for my sister) but what I got was an earful of hip and catchy tracks and lyrics that are mature and well... kinda good. I was really surprised by the album's opener track "Stuck" which is a song about a broken relationship and has a chorus that would make any self respecting Christian parent cringe. But to any teeny bopper out there that song is a bonafide hit. But more on that later...The production varies from sugary sweet Pop Rock to flat out Hip Hop/R&B with bass and beats to make the Neptunes blush. The producers vary as well from the well known Dallas Austin who produced the track "Stuck," and Dent who produced a couple of tracks alongside mega producer Missy Elliott, to the Underdogs whom I've never heard of but they did a nice job on the ballad "Strong Enough." But the best track on this album is the one produced by the unknown Mooki: "Tight." On this track Stacie struts her stuff to a funky beat which switches into an Aguilera-esque segment and holds her own while doing it. But back to the issue of teeny boppers and edgy Christian Pop... This album is technically a Christian album although it's hard to tell especially when the pronoun game is played. Like, instead of using the words God or Lord, 'you' and 'him' are in more places than they should be. It may sound like I'm rambling, but the point I'm trying to make is that Stacie seems like she's testing out the waters of secular music. And though she's making Christian music now, she might just step out with a not-so-Christian album. Who am I to say for sure? Best tracks (to me) include: Basically, Christina might have to watch out.

Very Cool!,

This review is from: Stacie Orrico (Audio CD)
This c.d. is awesome! The songs are very cool and I'm glad I bought this album. I listen to it almost every day. I like "stuck", "There's gotta be more to life", and "Instead" the best of them all. But they are all cool. I have all of Stacie's albums and they are all different in their own way. Genuine had more bass and beat in the music and it was more poppish. The songs on Stacie Orrico aren't as queit bassy and there is no loud thumping in the back-ground like on Genuine. If you like Christina and Britney, you will like this. It's cool that Christian artists are getting noticed now. I like Stacie because she doesn't just sing all Christian music. She also sings about boy-girl love. I love every song of hers, except I've never heard "Hesitation." Something is wrong with my c.d. player and song 7 skips through out the whole song. I returned three different Stacie Orrico albums because I thought there was something wrong with the whole stock that Wal-Mart had. But I guess it's just my c.d. player. But anyway... BUY IT! BUY, BUY, BUY! You won't regret it!

"Stuck" on Stacie Orrico,
By Neal McKinney (Dallas, TX) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Stacie Orrico (Audio CD)
For anyone who does not know Stacie Orrico and her awesome music should definately get this album. This CD, which some people do not know is her sophmore album. She is a positive singer, who ties in real issues of the world with a christian background. I love this album. Each track has a different element, but it all mixes well. My favorite songs are "Tight", "Stuck", "Maybe I Won't Look Back", "(There's Gotta Be) More To Life, and "Bounce Back". I guarantee no one will be disappointed in buying this CD. Stacie has vocals like none other, and a style that is uncomparable to Britney Spears or Christina Aguilera.
