OK, not super durable,

Good price, prompt delivery, arrived in good shape. But a bit flimsy. Not sure it would hold up under heavy use, but to store stuff I need once in a while, not a bad deal. Very lightweight, push the back up against something solid or it can tip over.

Not perfect, but not nearly as bad as the reviews claim,

I recently bought six of the 29-drawer cabinets and will likely order even more cabinets. I'm using them to store Lego and they're practically ideal for that, though they are also suited to the hardware storage and craft storage I've seen mentioned elsewhere. While it's true that the picture in the description gives a bit of a false impression that the drawers are 100% clear and rigid, that is an earlier version that is no longer being sold. Honestly, I prefer the new drawers. It seems like the original clearer drawers were made of the same material as the drawer dividers (which I'll get to later). The problem with that is that they would be fragile and prone to cracking with that new material. The new material is clear, though a little cloudy. I don't have any trouble seeing through it. It's also more flexible and even seems thicker than the acrylic-like material I mentioned before. They're not quite as pretty, but I think they work better.
I've seen several people complain that the drawers "didn't come with the drawer dividers as stated in the description." It doesn't state that in the description. It accurately says that drawer dividers are available. There are built-in slots for the dividers in every drawer. You may or may not always even need the dividers. If you do, though, they're relatively inexpensive: Stack-On DIV-SM Small Parts Storage Organizer Dividers, 48 PackStack-On DIV-LG Large Parts Storage Organizer Dividers, 16 Pack. The dividers work very well, though they have some problems as mentioned below. Overall, these drawers aren't perfect but they work very, very well and there are very few products that measure up to them at this low price. I will likely buy even more of these drawers before everything is said and done, definitely recommended.

This seems like a pretty good storage bin, so far. Definitely worth the asking price I paid of about $26. The only detraction I note is that the quality of the product is *not quite* perfect. It's not bad by any means, but there is a little room for improvement.
Also, not really an issue, but worth mentioning: The drawers all have one small hole (for drainage, I guess?) toward the back center of the bottom of the drawer. This hole is very small (1 or 2 mm), but just barely large enough that I felt compelled to put a piece of tape over it on one drawer that was holding very small items. All in all, I'd buy another one. Actually, I just did.

I know i ordered this but i am disappointed. I remember when they were solid and metal. Plastic is so much more flimsy.

This is a sturdy-enough, good-sized cabinet that fits well in the garage. I like the drawer handles, they fit my label maker labels perfectly. I don't have the dividers, but will likely get them for future storage needs.

This is the only thing standing between an organized desk and a pile of parts. I use it to store electronics components. Small breadboards fit in the big drawers, but the drawers are too short for the longer breadboards I prefer, so I end up leaving projects out instead of putting them away. Smaller components (micro chips, switches, etc) fit in the little drawers, but I have a hard time opening them if I put too many rolled up anti-static baggies in them. The drawers are not clear as pictured, but I can still see what is in them. Not the highest of quality, but it keeps my little parts organized and off my desk for a reasonable price.

I have a number of these cabinets stacked in my workroom. They are great for storing beads for my jewelry making efforts. Would also work for crafters who have small items that they want to keep organized and secure. Be aware that these cabinets are not portable since the drawers will open (unless you tape them shut while transporting-a pain really unless you are moving to a new location once). People who work with tools will recognize these cabinets as ideal for storing nuts, bolts, nails and other small items.

clear vs. not clear,

A friend gave me two of these units for my beads. I make jewelry for fun and profit and had a growing collection of mismatched bead organizers that were not meeting my needs. It would take 5 minutes to find the beads I wanted after opening each individual tray, etc. These little drawers make everything accessible at once. The two units my friend gave me had clear drawers, I ordered the dividers online and my life became so much easier. Friends and fellow crafters came to admire my storage drawers. I liked them so much I ordered another unit. I am a little disapointed to find out that they changed the design and now the drawers don't match exactly. The capacity on the old units could hold 3 dividers making 4 small compartments in each drawer. The new design only allows one divider. Anyway, overall I am so much happier and excited to make jewelry, whereas before I would feel a sense of overwhelm when I needed to find what I was looking for. The newer drawers make it a little more difficult, but I intend to affix labels on those drawers. I actually had fun transferring my collection into the new drawers, arranging according to color, organizing and dreaming of new designs. This organization frees up the mind to create. Now what am I going to use all those empty bead organizers for?

Deceptive picture (READ),

The drawers are cheap soft opaque plastic, as opposed to what is shown in the picture, which shows hard clear plastic. I find these cheap opaque drawers flimsy and much hard to view contents and I suspect the sides could warp over time as well. The drawer stops are also weak and there is a lot of wiggle in the drawers when opened.I bought the 39 drawer and the 60 drawer cabinet by stack-on, and while in concept these are perfect sizes for my needs, I've returned them in search for better quality drawers (as well as a more durable body.) ****** I originally gave this 3 stars, but since my 60 and 39 drawer StackOn Storage Cabinet reviews keep getting deleted somehow, and thus reset the dozens of "helpful" votes acquired since 2007 and its 'displayed first' status, it now gets 2 stars because I'm no longer feeling as generous. I am resubmitting this deleted review on 12/20/11, and ironically the original review date of 10/1/07 is displayed (?!?!?). This is the exact same behavior that happened when I resubmitted my review on the 60-drawer unit after it was deleted. One more deletion and you get 1 star. :) Needless to say, 4 years later, the product description still has the deceptive picture alluded to in my original submission 4 years ago. ******

If you have ever been to the hardware section of a discount retailer or big box home improvement store and seen these type of storage cabinets with all the nice, thick clear plastic drawers that fit really well in their slots and thought, I could think of like a hundred things to put in that...well, this product is not like those at all. It is inexpensive, I guess, but the quality is a lot lower than I expected. The picture shows these nice, clear, rigid plastic drawers and what you get is a slightly opaque or foggy, plyable, thin plastic that is very similar to a disposable plastic storage container marketed for food. And I think that comparison probably pays this product a compliment. The drawers do not stay put and they do not catch at the back very often. They look funky and inexpensive. They would be much more useful if they were completely clear as then you could see what is in them...well....clearly. They will not hold anything that has substantial weight. I would NOT recommend them for any type of hardware storage. Honestly, I would not recommend them at all. If you are really set on getting yourself one of these, you will soon be able to find mine at the nearest second hand store. I would pay about $4 for it there, $5 tops. You win some and you Stack-On some. Darn It.
