This safe is excellent value for the price. It's not a fire safe like it's larger and more expensive brethren but it does the job. It appears sturdy and feels more secure than a gun cabinet. It says it's for 10 guns but closing the door would be trouble if you were using all of the gun holders. I would only put 6-8 max in here, but for most people buying a safe at this price that should be sufficient. I bought this because I live in an apartment and I need something that can be carried by two people (empty). Shipping was easy, with yellow dock delivering to my door, just be aware they will not carry it up stairs so you need to have someone with you when it arrives to carry it if you live above ground floor.

I got it with my Amazon Prime membership next day air for $4.00 more. I was shocked they offered that on a such a large item. However it was bent in the corner when it came and would not close all the way. I called Amazon and they sent me a new on the next day. They wanted me to return the damaged on to UPS but when I explained that it was huge and would not fit in my car so they arranged for it to be picked up at my house.

Well I like it. Arrived in 5 days after I ordered it here on Amazon. Fedex delivered the safe and put in my garage for me. I unboxed it and had my son help my carry it to my territory (the basement). Over all the safe is heavy duty, the electronic lock works great, you can pick your own combination. I have 3 rfles and 4 hanguns and a lot of ammo in there. The door is heavy and cabinet will tip forward when opened. You will need to either mount to floor or wall, nice heavy duty mounting screws do come with it, or you could put alot of weight in the bottom of the cabinet. I mounted mine to the wall. Hey for $329 and free shipping, I feel like I got a good deal. I'm very satisfied.

This Item was ordered as a Christmas gift, It arrived prior to and looked fine, (in the box)... Soon after opening the box, I noticed two dents... No worries, it's going be placed inside a cabinet. But pursued and recieved a damage discount...

Inside the item were two 4 seat barrel rests with 2 single rest points on the short sides. One 4 place rest was lying inside on the floor. It took 3 tries to get the correct parts to repair and these don't look like they will mount up correctly, necessitating a drill thru situation to fix the problem. However the keypad lock works great... the #4 key fell out while trying to move it into position !

I realize that I didn't spend $1000 on this unit but shipping it back isn't an option at $118 to get rid of this unit guess I'm stuck with it !!!!

The Stack-on 10 gun safe is high quality, solid design, and easy to set up. It is heavy, so get a friend and/or a hand truck to help you place it. The only down side is that the interior really doesn't seem big enough for 10 long guns and the pistol compartment is only big enough for a couple handguns.

Purchased this product on June 30th 2010. Received it the next day , let me just say amazon is great, they shipped next day just like promised. The product itself is the problem. If it had not been damaged in shipping i would not have noticed how cheaply made it is. there was a big dent in it that started the black paint chipping and it will chip away if you just touch on it, doesnt look baked on to me. the big gold ring around the lock is just a big piece of plastic ,very thin ,cheap plastic, inside the door there are trays made out of the same cheap plastic. The inside is lined with paper thin felt, and the door very cheaply made, and I paid 100.00 more for this than the sentry I was looking at, went for the electronic lock.Amazon is shipping me another one because this one was damaged, however I dont recommend this gun safe, I paid 399.00 for it it is probably worth about 129.00

First gun safe arrived smashed in shipping, looked like a wrecking ball had hit it. There is lack of packing material that allows the safe to be damaged. Second gun safe arrives and the lock mechanism will not engage to secure the safe. Amazon refused to ship a third. Bad safe but Amazon refunded me my money and handled the situation very well. Will buy from Amazon in the future would really think long and hard again before buying a Stack-on product.

I bought this safe about 2 years ago - and was able to pick it up in store so no delivery hassles, damages, or fees. Product reviews should pertain specifically to the product anyway. I needed a shallow safe - and at just over 1 foot, this is the shallowest to accommodate 10 long guns. It fits nicely in an out of the way spot behind a door without blocking anything. As for it being a 10 gun safe, I definitely understand some reviewers statements that it is hard to accommodate 10 guns, and that is very true, and specific to your weapons. However - after MUCH rearranging, I actually fit 10 long guns (including an AK paratrooper with LARGE scope, a 22 semi auto with scope, 2 Ar 15's with red dots, lasers, bipods, foregrips, and tactical lights, an 870 pump, a O/U trap gun, and SxS coach gun, an 1892 lever action, a tommy gun, a RAV 45, and one more naked AR). Actually that is 11 long guns - but the SxS I broke down and have the stock and forearm on the shelf. Additionally I removed 1 of the 2 trays on the door and mounted some peg board, and have 6 pistols in the safe as well!!!, plus a dehumidifier (under a false floor in the bottom), and a can of silica plus extra mags and speed loaders in the remaining tray.

The construction of the safe is quite adequate - it is a big steel box with 6 locking pins. Personally I prefer the manual dial as I never want to fumble for keys or worry about batteries, plus the plastic digital case seems a little vulnerable. The dial is harder to see and read so I mounted a light above the safe - and bear in mind that for quick access, the dial is less effective. Personally I store my guns in this safe, and have several quick access lock boxes throughout the house for emergencies.

The point of the safe is to keep the innocent and curious away, and even prevent some amateur thieves from getting to the guns, but if a professional breaches your house with full intent of getting access to this, and most other safes - they can and will get there given enough time and resources. Still I bolted to safe to the concrete floor and the adjoining walls, plus tied a contact switch into the door for my home alarm system. It provides good security and accessibility, without breaking the bank. It looks nice enough and functions well. I highly recommend it.

This is a great gun safe. It is solid as a rock & performs great. I like being able to arrange the shelves to fit my setup. I also like the interior of the safe. It is covered with a material that will accommodate any Velcro loop style accessories, such as holsters & pouches. This gives you even more space for extra handguns and/or accessories. I ordered this item for my grandson. It was listed as in stock.I waited for a long time. I never recieved notice of shipment.I contacted the seller and was told the order was at the manafacture. I was not pleased to say the least.I was told that the supplier couldn't help it if Amazon made a mistake in their add.I doubt that.I waited till way past the delivery date and it had not even been shipped yet. I emailed the supplier and requested that the order be cancelled.I then ordered anbothe gun case from a diffrent supplier. Not exactly the same but close enough. NO SHIPPING FEE I then got notice that the first one was shipped. IFortunatly the last one kindly refunded my money.I got an email from The first one telling me that they would accept a return for the slow one. of course shipping would be my cost.$75.00 To get it here. I wasn't impressed. I would never buy anything from this supplier.
