Very well built safe.

This safe does not have pre-drilled holes for floor mounting so you'll have to drill through the floor of the safe to bolt it down.

I highly recommend this safe unless you're guns are collectors valued.

Got this to fit in a semi-tight section in our bedroom closet. Fits great and holds a ton of stuff. I have a 8 guns total (a 22 rifle, two 12ga and two 20ga shotgun, an KelTec SU-16, Winchester lever action, and a T/C Venture with scope) along with about 2500 rounds for all my guns (including pistols) and holds my small documents fire safe. Door is smooth and (so far) the interior has been top notch. See the picture I took with the safe loaded. Great great value in my opinion!

I could have gotten a better safe for the price I paid for this thing but it works fine. This safe does not have pre-drilled holes for floor mounting so you'll have to drill through the floor of the safe to bolt it down. The center divider is permanently mounted which sucks because it takes up space if your not going to use the shelves. I was able to fit an AR10, Beneli Nova and my AR15 and that took up the entire back rack of one side. If you have scopes or have anything other than bolt action rifles plan on only being able to store about 7-8 guns in this thing.

Also if you are a Prime Member dont plan on getting this in 2 days. I'm glad I didnt have to pay shipping though. The freight company called me the second day to schedule delivery. The delivered it the next day and brought it right into my garage for me!

First of all, there is no way on earth you could fit 14 guns in here. There is a center divider, that runs from the top to the bottom. Metal ammo boxes fit on one side just barely, but any of the plastic cases like Zombie cases, Cabela's cases, etc, will not fit. There are rifle rests bolted on both sides that are placed too high up for tactical rifles. I guess they would be fine for hunting rifles. I took the rifle rests off the "ammo" side and screwed those on 6" under the rifle rests on the other side, so that tactical rifles would fit also. I just spent all day reconfiguring the cabinet so basically it looks nothing like what it did when I bought it. I have a M1A, a 22 bolt action, a AR-15, and a tactical shotgun on one side, and I "might" be able to squeeze one more in there. I cut the center divider shelf so that I am now only using 15 inches of it at the top only. This way, after I changed all the shelf brackets, I can now use zombie cases on the bottom, and have 3 handgun shelves on the top of the 2nd side. Much to my dismay, after doing all of this, the plastic Cabela's cases fit width wise, but are too long and will not allow the safe door to close, so if you are going to use those, you must stand those up on end. There are no lights in the safe. The electronic lock seems to work fine. Fit and finish are average.

Update. I recently went to a sporting goods store and compared like sized safes and I was amazed to see a lot of safes in this price range that were paper thin. This safe is SOLID. The door is thick and sturdy compared to others I've seen. I have opened the safe dozens of times by now via the electronic lock and it works great every time. I am adding 1 star to my original review based on my experience.

Great shipping experience with this product, on the free shipping if above $25. The shipper walked the safe into my Apt (ground level), and walked it into the place against the wall, where I put it. On to the safe! I've owned the Stack On 8 Gun cabinet (I liked it until I moved)and the Sentry 5 Gun cabinet (great product, still own it, outgrew it). When you go tactical to any length with your rifles and shotgun, or add a gun here and there, you need something larger. When I ran into that situation preparing for the SHTF scenario, and I found myself looking for a small fire safe for valued documents (SS Card, Birth Cert, etc.), moving up to a reasonably-priced fire resistant gun safe seemed logical - and this was it. Anyway, I discarded the standard rifle rack system; instead using riflerods (also available on Amazon) to store my five rifles, one shotgun, and three handguns. There is a liberty safe door organizer (not on Amazon), that fits the width of the back of the door, though it has to be shortened just a bit, to make it work. Anyway, at 300 lbs, no one is walking off with this. When I get a house, plan to anchor it to the floor and wall. It fits my needs, and there is room to add additional guns, and the 8" x 12" ammo cans I use in the safe. Still working on how to light the safe, Stack On has a new wireless, three head safelight (on Amazon).

Update: 8/11/2014: The combination lock on the safe is still working great. This is not a high dollar safe; but if it's bolted down, and you don't keep your power tools in plain sight, it should stop the smash-and-grab thief, who constitutes the majority of burglary.

When contacted by the state treasurer telling me and my siblings that there was a small inheritance from my deceased parents I knew immediately that I was going to use the money to purchase a gun safe so that I had something that was a lasting tribute to my parents and grandparents. I have several guns that belonged to eiter my dad or his dad. After searching for weeks I came across this gun safe that also had a fire rating. The price was about the same as a non-fire rated safe at the local big box stores. So, I ordered the safe and it arrived a week or so later. The truck driver even put the 300 pound safe in the room where it was to stay. I am very pleased with the safe. I have 6 or 7 long guns that occupy one side and ammunition on the other. Together, the weight of the safe is now closer to 400 pounds, so I don't have to worry about anyone picking it up and walking off with it like they could with some of the lighter "cabinets" or safe's. The combination lock works perfectly and the 1" bolts that retract to open make the door practically impregnable. Very satisfied!! I must say, however, that I had read that whenever ordering a gun safe get one that "holds" twice as many guns as you have, otherwise it is going to be a very tight fit. They were right!! However, since I only had 6 long guns a 14 gun safe was perfect for me.
