I should have read the reviews here before being fooled into buying this, but from the look of the photos it appeared to be the most solid wine rack around. Alas, as a previous poster mentions: "it's just Lincoln Logs," and thin strips of wood for the bottle supporting members, not as it appears in the photos which make it look like 2x4 lumber. There is a LOT of un-matched filler too, which with the other poor finish makes this look like it was hacked out of leftover scrap lumber by unsupervised 10 year olds in wood-shop class! I'm not even sure if I'll bother putting this together, it's such poor craftsmanship. But even if the finish were above terrible, the thinness of the lumber leaves me wondering, as has been mentioned, whether I want to trust it with $1000s in precious bottles. I'm thinking not.

The Rack works well for cab or merlot bottles. Any Bottle with a tapered neck will fall through. Hard to explain but trust me you wouldn't want to store an expensive bottle of Pinot or bubbles on this one.

I really like the quality and look of this rack. However, it is really just some lincoln logs that fit in gooves and don't lock together. I could have make this rack myself in a few hours. As a matter of fact I probably will when I need to expand my storage.
