4.0 out of 5 stars Cute
This toy is great for stackable rings. My only complaint is that they were much smaller than I anticipated. Once my daughter was 6 months she could fit the top round ball entirely into her mouth (so we fit it into the trash can). It is durable and withstands drool, being banged together and thrown across a room.

3.0 out of 5 stars Stackable Rings
Made in China. Base too small and tips too easily. Paint chips and comes off on adjacent rings. Bright blue ring is a dull dark blue.

Wow, this arrived with TWO green rings -- the same size! -- and no yellow ring! Where is the quality control? Didn't the packager at Amazon notice this glaring mistake? What a disappointment. Feels cheap and smells bad, pass on this one.

She LOVES it, she'll sit for what seems like hours in "baby-time". At first she just like to crawl around with the smaller rings in one hand, then she discovered how to stack them, make noise w/ one ring on the post shaking back & forth. And NOW she'll stack them in differing orders, try with the top on, & without. Definitely a great toy, the simplest are always the best.

4.0 out of 5 stars Quality Wood Ring Toy for Little Ones, September 18, 2010

This is a good quality, good finished,
durable, color-fast toy for a little one.

Our 14 mos old took to it immediately out
of the box and proceeded to play with it
for 48 minutes straight! (Our little one
is constantly on the move- to have her
sit and play like this was unheard of.)

This Stacking Wooden Rings is a bit smaller
than expected. However, the quality shines
through. Fit, finish, colors all are of value.
No cut corners. Wood is solid. Stands up to
repeated toddler beatings, in-the-mouth, on-the-
floor, stepped-on, tossed, banging, - usual
'normal' toddler play! No signs of finish
loss, maring, or color fade. Even after repeated
use of sanitizer wipes. They must use a quality
polyimer to seal the product.

Endless variations on sorting size and color.
Very nice about this ring stacker is the base:
it is conical. It rocks back and forth. This
adds a 3d spacial component to the child's play.
At first I was not so sure when ordering, but
now I consider this a must have in a ring stacker
toy. Our child repeatedly returns to this toy for
play now 5 mos after purchase.

Neat point about the ball on top of the stick:
with the rocking base, it provides excellent hand-
eye coordination effort by the little one for
placement.

Overall impression: Very good buy. Quality. This
toy will last easily for siblings in the future.
Slightly smaller overall total size vs other ring
stackers is not a concern. I almost now think the
size thing is deliberate for the little hands it is
intended for. Would purchase for family and good friends
without hesitation now that I know the product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Durable, colorful wooden with interchangeable rings, September 11, 2010
= Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:5.0 out of 5 stars

I love these stacking rings. They are one of my favorite infant/toddler toys. Here's why:

1) They are wooden rather than plastic. They are more durable, more solid, and just feel more "classy." I have not had any problem with the paint scratching off in any significant amounts.

2) The rings are interchangeable. The holes in the center are the same size. So, you can put them on in any order, unlike most stacking sets. From my experience, the age range this type of toy appeals to the most is an age range that has trouble putting them on in order. But, my son was able to greatly enjoy this toy from 8 months to the present at 19 months. This also means that if a ring or two are lost, the toy is still relatively useable and doesn't have big gaps on the pole.

I definitely prefer this to any other stacking ring set that I've seen, and I would highly recommend it for older babies and toddlers. The price is quite reasonable for a wooden toy, and in my opinion, the product is much higher in quality.

Got this for an 18-month old who absolutely loves it. Much more attractive than the plastic versions.

This is a nice looking wooden stacker. The things you should know before buying are: The holes in the rings are all the same size and that the paint does chip a little. However, I still like it and my daughter has enjoyed it as much as any other learning toys we have. I really love wooden toys, but I'm not sure I would recommend this over one of the cheap plastic ones.

This toy is really great. The size and weight are perfect for little hands and it is very durable. Some reviews expressed concern about the quality of the paint. Wood paints, especially bright colors, have to compromise in order to be safe for kids to put in their mouths. If stored in a warm humid place, the rings will stick together, and you will probably get some transfer of color in the course of regular use. But these imperfections do not get in the way of the usefulness of the toy. It is a hand crafted, long lasting toy made of natural materials that I would highly recommend.
