I really do love this shoe. It's fancy, and it's surprising comfortable especially with some padded in soles.
I usually wear an 11 in converse(which is like a 12 in reg shoe size), and a 11.5 and 12 in this shoe were both too big for me. So be aware of that. :)

...but they grew on me. When I first took them out of the box and put them on I was tempted to put them right back in a send them back. I am glad I gave them a chance. Admittedly they are not the most comfortable shoe, there is no padding or cushioning in the sole at all, and the leather is quite stiff right out of the box, but a little break-in made them much more comfortable. I have gotten many compliments and positive feedback on the look of the shoe. They are quite formal, but add a little something to business-casual as well. No an everyday shoe, but an interesting addition to a wardrobe for a little extra something. A little more comfortable and I would give them a 4 or 5.

I love vintage clothing. Stacy Adam's Madisons are a great throwback to late 1800's style with the curved heel and simple cap-toe design.

The craftsmanship seems solid, though I'd like to see how they hold up over time. I expect a good, classic shoe from a classic company should be pretty durable though.

I would recommend these to anyone with an eye for vintage style.

My husband is a standard 7.5 D, and these fit him great. He needed a pair of shoes with built in Spats for historical reproduction events, and wore them for the first time to the Dickens Fair in San Francisco. Next up, the Edwardian Ball. I am considering getting him the brown for the World's Fair. The detail is nicely done and they don't look cheap. All leather and well made to give a true vintage feel. Of course, these are not 100% historically accurate, but they work for him and he loves them. Good for an everyday jazzed up look, too, for the creative and adventurous man who would wear them with jeans, a wallet chain, and James Dean leather jacket, or for the church dude who dresses to the nines in a colorful suit every Sunday.

Okay to begin
GOOD=These shoes look fantastic and can be worn casually and formally since they aren't tacky with pointy fronts and stupid patterns/tacky accessories.

Fit= *true to fit i must say* The fit was not a problem for me lengthwise and width. but if u have somewhat wider feet than the websites measurements advise then they are going to hurt until you stretch them out because these shoes are crazy narrow.

BAD= Quality control is not so great(they are hand made not so hard to spot defects). the Shoes i had purchased had readjusted stitching marks, meaning needle work holes, plastic sticking out from the base and sole and the sole paint was fairly bodged.quality control doesn't affect all of us but damn it is a big hassle when you order from overseas.) Tread with caution

Customer support by Amazon is great, quick to deal with issue and fixed any errors so far.

I had my eye on these for such a long time. I absolutely love them and get so many compliments every time I wear them. I have wide feet, so they were a bit narrow/snug at first but they fit fairly well after the first couple times I wore them. More comfortable than I anticipated.

I like the look of these shoes. I got a lot of compliments on the shoes, especially the older ones. They add class to whatever you wear ablack pinstripe or solid black suit. I added insoles to because my feet are narrow. That added more comfort also. I plan on wearing them to a formal. Love the shoes.

I didn't quite know what to expect with these boots, and I won't lie,,I LOVE these boots! They're like an old VW Bug,,it's no Porsche, but ya just gotta love the silly thing! I'm a sucker for good quality bootwear,,,Aldens, Danner, J.Crew,,so I'm confident that I can review boots pretty well. For these Stacy Adams I gave them 4 stars mostly for style points. The craftsmanship is fine,,nothing spectacular, but works. The leather is thin "kid" leather. If it truly is goat, it should be fairly durable and strong, but it doesn't feel like it is. The ankle wrap leather feels more like pleather that real leather. The foot section creases quickly and gives a good, classy worn look. It feels and looks more like real leather. As for fit- these boots are definitely for narrow feet, which I have. Those with wider feet will NOT like these. They run true to size, but note- they are a long, pointy boot, so there will be some toe space. Very comfortable once an insole is added. Without it, they are your basic, leather sole feeling boot,,hard.
You can't beat the classy styling and appearance, very cool. All in all I'd say the boot is a $50 boot priced too high, but I, myself, am happy with the purchase, and plan to get the grey and black colors.
