Everyone asks, "How did a social worker and a psychologist, fresh out of graduate school, get into the snack food business?" The social worker, Stacy Madison and the psychologist, Mark Andrus shared a passion for good food and a commitment to staying healthy. Here's their story: "We decided to open a downtown Boston restaurant. However, large student loans and no capital halted our dream. So we decided to take a risk. We designed a food cart and began serving healthy pita bread roll-up sandwiches. They were an instant hit and the lines grew longer each day. Man, oh man, these bad boys are addictive. I found some at a Kroger Grocery store in Tennessee and bought a bag to enjoy on the road. I live about 250 miles away and the bag was GONE by the time I got home! I logged on to Amazon and bought a whole 12-bag CASE! They are buttery, crunchy-crispy, and sliced differently than other bagel chips. Instead of the doughnut-shaped cross-sections of all the others, these are sliced vertically, so they are the approximate size and shape of a quarter. Seriously, these are GOOD good!

I discovered these chips while on a trip in Stamford, CT. I have loved Stacy's pita chips for a while - so when I saw the bagel chips I was thrilled. They are even better than the pita chips! My only complaint is that I had to order them because they are not available in my area. Also, they are kind of pricey - but for special occasions they are totally the best!!
