Everyone asks, "How did a social worker and a psychologist, fresh out of graduate school, get into the snack food business?" The social worker, Stacy Madison and the psychologist, Mark Andrus shared a passion for good food and a commitment to staying healthy. Here's their story: "We decided to open a downtown Boston restaurant. However, large student loans and no capital halted our dream. So we decided to take a risk. We designed a food cart and began serving healthy pita bread roll-up sandwiches. They were an instant hit and the lines grew longer each day. As an incentive for customers to wait in line, we baked fresh pita bread into different flavored chips. Customers loved them so much, they encouraged us to get the chips into stores. I'm not a picky eater, and I enjoy eating healthy food. But these chips, sadly, are just not tasty at all. Extremely bland. Ya gotta dip them in a really good salsa. But then I just feel like I'm eating stale bread. Healthy bread though.... and many came broken.

Very tasty and crispy. They are great to dip into something like Hummus. They do not fall apart.

I read some reviews that the chips were bland, but I find these chips to be a great tasting and healthy snack. I used to eat the salted New York Style bagel crisps, but I wanted whole wheat. The New York Style website says they have a whole wheat bagel crisp, but I have yet to find a bag to try. Our local supermarket had a stock of Stacy's Whole Wheat bags, so I decided to give them a try. I'm glad I did. They are great!
