I'm a grad student and an office supply enthusiast...I am extremely picky about my highlighters because I go through them like crazy. It's only been the first semester and I've dried out 3...but I have had these same highlighters since MIDDLE SCHOOL and I just recently discovered them again!! They NEVER run out of ink, they are pigmented beautifully but not too dark and just thick enough for one line. I am so thankful this company is still in business because students everywhere should be using these highlighters. It makes reading so much better!!!! Don't look at Sharpie or Bic or any of those cheap, useless brands. Seriously. I'm a nursing student, I wouldn't lie to you.

I originally left a two-star review because these bad boys dried out on me after two semesters of law school.

However, I was unable to find another set of highlighters that even came close to the quality of these "Textsurfers." The colors are so incredibly vibrant, easy to read through, and apply smooth as butter. Everything else I tried seemed streaky, chalky, and dark in comparison. How did I LIVE before these highlighters?

So, while I would love for these to last a little longer, I have decided I can't live without them and have ordered my second set! I would definitely recommend these for fellow students and anyone else who highlights a lot (and I really do highlight a LOT, so perhaps I only have myself to blame for the markers drying out).

These are the best highlighters, bar none. Every color captures your attention. Every color clearly shows the text. No streaks, smudges or bleed-through. Great color selection. Price is reasonable.

I do a lot of highlighting. I highlight the onionskin pages in scriptures
and the cheap, thin, junky paper in some paperback books. These are the only
highlighters that don't soak through. I can go over the highlighting two or three times without soaking through, on all but the thinnest junk paper.

The only problem is that they are not available in any store near me including Staples and Office Depot. I'm going to talk to the managers of those stores and ask them to order them. Office Depot used to have them, but now all they have is Sharpie, which is a good highlighter, but not on onionskin and thin junk paper.

These highlighters got me through graduate school. The dark colors aren't so dark that you can't read the underlying text. And where else can you get teal and dark orange highlighters? I used them at work now. I'm on my 3rd pack.

Oh, how I long to highlight to my OCD-heart's content without ever seeing the horrible, wet paper effect of a bleed-through. I scoured the internet - especially Amazon - looking for the perfect highlighter. One that has nice colors (must include purple), won't dry out quickly, has a chisel tip, and - above all - does not bleed through the paper. It's hard enough to find time to read all of the text required for graduate work. It's even harder to review the highlights for exams when you can see the same color from the next page.

I thought that I had found it. The reviews were all so tempting. The people raved about this product. I thought, "Surely, this must be the product to end all searches!" But alas, Textsurfer also bleeds through. It is true that it is not as bad as others, but my search has not ceased. My tormented dreams about finding just the right highlighter shall not leave me for now.

This highlighter pack is in very nice colors - not just including the annoyingly fluorescent neons of highlighters from the past, which I appreciate. The bleed-through is not as prevalent as other highlighters, although this is exaggerated in other reviews as not bleeding through at all. Overall, this is a satisfactory product.

I bought these highlighters in the book store my freshman year of college. I got a yellow and pink originally and have used them all the way until now, my senior year. I am a nursing student and highlight a ton, at work and for school. My pink highlighter ran out about a week ago and the yellow is just starting to fade. For someone that highlights all the time, these are a MUST. Amazon is the only place I was able to find them. They came today and after opening the package, I am so overwhelmed with the colors... I won't need to buy highlighters for the next 10 years. :)

These are by far the best highlighters I've ever used. They don't smear ink at all. I've successfully used them on fresh inkjet printouts, receipts, ink from gel pens, and even over pencil; nothing smeared. Also, unlike some highlighters, the vivid color does not fade. The color selection is also great, allowing you to easily color-code notes for school or work.

Fully recommend these highlighters and all Staedtler products.

I bought these highlighters because the product says they won't smear inkjet printing. Out of the 8 colors, 3 still smear very badly (yellow, light orange, dark orange) when I use them on a typical inkjet text printout. The other 5 colors vary from slight smearing to unacceptable smearing based on how black and bold the inkjet text is. The green, purple, blue, and blue/green had the least amount of smearing and I could probably use those. The rest I would not use on inkjet printing.

I like this product, I like the colors. The color does not change that much over the time.
