As someone who is fairly new to hypnosis and has been reading books and buying CD's and trying different methods.. I have stopped checking out book after book after book. If you want to learn the real secrets.. here is a great place to start. Micahel Johns & Richard Nongard pretty much just give you the answers you need to know to start on your way to learning and doing Hypnosis. They have other DVD's as well. My guess if like this one CERTAINLY worht checking out. Certainly not a 1 stop shop for leaning all there is to know... But a BIG step in the right direction. Highly recommended!

This is a great starting point to learn hypnosis. It will start to lay a foundation for future learning. Very interesting material

...the only thing it exposes is the fact that you got taken for a ride. There is very and I mean very little content on this disk. You'd actually learn more taking the money spent on this and going to see real hypnosis show. Just pay attention. You'd think based on the title of this disk it's about exposing the ins and outs of a stage hypnosis show, it does not.

You will not learn: (I repeat, NOT learn)

-a detailed pre-talk (no details)
-a detailed stage induction (the Elman Induction, is touched on but can be but is rarely done as a group stage induction. John's induction is sold as a separate DVD, hmmm, then what did I buy? What's Exposed? Scam!!!)
-no skits (not a one, this disk is sad)

The production value on this terrible, it's less than a B movie grade, the hosts (Johns and Nongard) are so distracted from planes flying by (near an airport) the open window slider from the hotel room where this was filmed (no I'm not kidding) that they can't control the fact that they constantly ignoring each other and watching the planes, it's almost comical. I would of rather watched the planes but you can't see them. This disk will virtually teach you nothing.

There is another Nongard/Johns DVD called Stage Hypnosis Induction, it's a continuation of the Stage Hypnosis Exposed DVD. I kid you not, it's the same hotel room and everything, you'll even see the two of them peering at window now and then, they were better with this DVD - probably sick of looking at the planes. Content wise - a little better, John's induction was fully explained but the real stage footage at the end of the DVD was dark and cut off, there was 15-20% missing. I would of liked to see who he kept after the lights turned up. It was so dark that you couldn't see there arms up. Again, better but disappointing. Nongard trash. Note: There's A Terry Stokes DVD with Nongard uses the same room again, I've seen a snippet of it on youtube but not the whole thing so I can't comment. It's to bad Terry hooked his wagon to this production, Terry is well known in the Stage Hypnosis circuit too.

Do yourself a favor and stay away from this DVD and invest it in another source (Google recommendations). I've seen other Nongard productions: Speed Trance and Improptu (w/ Cerbone, very poor productions as well). Just stay away from these and learn from other sources.

Who am I, I'm a hypno-hobbyist, Therapeutic Hypnotist, Neuro-linguistic Hypnotist, who helps people with overcoming their issues. My learning's are based from a clinical perspective with a meat'n potatoes approach. Let me be clear I'm not a certified clinical hypno-therapist and I don't take money from people while providing nothing. I started learning hypnosis years ago because I just like to know why and how stuff works and I was hooked instantly. I've learned and continually learn all aspects of hypnosis: Permissive, Authoritarian, Waking, Convert and Conversational. The way I see it, my foundation is built strong, now it's time to build the rest of my house. Hence, my interest in Stage Hypnosis. So, if you find that you've sat there and read my opinions on this DVD and other productions of Nongard's, realize that this is only my opinion and by all means you have the choice to purchase this and easily know what it felt like for me to loose my money and my time on such a poorly put together presentation.
