As you can see in the video, this is a fairly solid mic stand. It seems like a good value for the money. Also shown in the video are the NT3 Condenser Microphone and the Blue Microphones Kiwi 20 Foot Quad Microphone Cable.

3.0 out of 5 stars For the price, it's five stars; but compared to others, this is a three star stand.
It's perfectly fine for standard, fairly stationary use. We use these at my church, and they get moved around a little bit, but not much. For the price, they are surprisingly solid, and they work perfectly fine.

Of stands in this price range, this is at the top of what I've experienced.

It's easily adjustable, the screws stay tight once adjustments...

Of stands in this price range, this is at the top of what I've experienced.

It's easily adjustable, the screws stay tight once adjustments are made, it's light but not so light that it tips or blows over, the feet keep it steady on the floor and from wobbling.

Seriously, for those who don't need a stand that can handle touring or lots of fiddling around, this is the one to go with.

If you need a stand to handle doing live gigs and/or going on tour, shipping around in airplanes or vans, etc., you will need to go up a notch or two in quality (and, sadly, price).

This stand is very flexible in the way it can be set up. Allows you to get close to the mic and still play an instrument, like say a guitar. Can be used either sitting or standing. Recommend highly. Be sure to get a pop screen for your mic and recording needs to improve recording quality.

4.0 out of 5 stars just fine for what it's designed for, November 9, 2007

it's a mic stand that comes with a boom attachment... it's black so it's minimally reflective, all adjustments work as they should, not much more to say. Good product at a good price, no complaints.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for Home Studio, July 14, 2007
This review is from: On Stage Stands 7701B Tripod Boom Microphone Stand (Electronics)
Very versatile. I can easily adjust the angle of inclination to adjust for guitar and then vocals. The legs fold up vertically and the stand collapses on itself to be half the size for portability. Like most mic stands, this stand comes with a clip-on cord holder to keep the mic cord suspended along the horizontal arm.

One con is sometimes the heavy Samson CO1U USB Condenser Mic I use to record audio would sometimes tip it; however, if you use a little common sense when you plant the tripod legs to get the most support, this won't happen.

Overall, for the price, this mic stand was much better than I anticipated.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great! Metal, professional., January 9, 2008

I honestly thought it'd be plastic for this price! It's nice, cold hard metal. It does what it's supposed to do. You can take off the boom and it becomes a regular mic stand. I highly recommend it!

4.0 out of 5 stars Execellent Mic Stand for Imaginary Bands, January 19, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is going to sound funny, but this mic stand was purchased as a Rock Band accessory. The Reverse Cradle Robbers, the best imaginary band around... yeah, we're that serious.

Its a basic boom mic stand. Easy to assemble and setup; it works as promised. Now, when we play Rock Band, we can sing and play an instrument at the same time. Its actually a lot of fun.

While I have no real complaints about the stand, there are a few things worth mentioning. The adjustment dials on the stand feel a little loose. At times it feels like the boom portion of the stand is going to slip out. This is also true of the piece that holds the mic clip.

Its also worth noting that the stand does not include a mic clip. I'm sure this is common sense to people who play real music for a living, but if you are buying this mic stand for fun, know that you need to purchase a mic clip separate.

All in all, this is an excellent mic stand for people in imaginary bands. I would say its also a good purchase for people in real bands too.
