This is helping hand and if you want to record with more than 1 mic on 1 stand its the best. if you don't want to use it you can fold it up.

This is a very useful item. It attaches securely and is easy to adjust. Great to attach to a boom stand for singing and mic'ing a guitar.

As the creator of the Porta-Booth - Portable Sound Studio and the The Porta-Booth Pro - Your Recording Studio At Home and on the Road I searched everywhere for a device like this. When you want to use a Porta-Booth product standing up and mounted on a microphone boom arm you need a "drop pipe" device to hang your microphone from. Other products I found were ridiculously expensive but this 'mini-boom arm' is the perfect size and the perfect price. On-Stage Stands makes this clamp on model (which a has a bit more flexibility) and a screw-on model and both are solid, stable, easily installed and adjusted and just perfect for my application and many other times when you need a simple way of attaching a microphone to a mic stand, I recommend this highly!
