This is the best keyboard stand!,

Very solid keyboard stand with lots of different height and width options! The second tier is very good but only adjustable in width not in front to back which is the only drawback! I highly recommend it for studio work cause it takes 20 minutes to set up! Live usage is possible too but time is essential! Now I know why its price went up from $99 to $129 - this stand is the best in the music industry!

good stand, not "really" foldable.,

the stand itself is a good solid stand. i bought this to replace my "x" style stand. that way i can put a monitor and my power amp and power conditioner (in a road case), without taking precious stage space.
just understand, the only thing that is foldable is the z brackets. in other words, you have to breakdown the entire stand if you want to save space transporting. not a big deal, but kind of misleading with the description.

Solid keyboard stand!,
This review is from: On Stage 2 Tier Folding Z Keyboard Stand (Electronics)
Unlike 'X' style stands, this one can't tip over easily. It's heavy - about 25 lbs. Adjustability is limited to the overall width (note that upper tier has to be the same width as bottom), the height of the first tier, the angle of the second tier, and limited height adjustment of the second tier (difference between first and second tiers). If you want to put any piece of equipment on the 2nd tier that is narrower than your adjusted width, you have to mount a board to it.
As mentioned by others, it takes some time to assemble, so as a touring stand, its not ideal. Quickest way to disassemble and transport is to remove the width-adjusting cross pieces (4 knobs on bottom section and 2 knobs on top) and leave the Z-brackets as they are - you can re-assemble this in about 5 minutes with someone helping.

The stand is incredibly stable, even on the top tier. I'm pretty sure every aspect of the stand is adjustable (with limits of course). If you have an incredibly heavy keyboard (50lb+) this stand will easily handle it (the top tier should as well-no promises).
There are drawbacks to such stability though...The stand is a tad confusing to set up, but i got it ready in under 25 min. As a guess, I think the stand itself weighs 40lbs- this becomes annoying with its portability issues. Carrying the stand as is is easy, but don't expect it to fit in the backseat/trunk of your car without some disassembly. I finally found a relatively quick way (under 2 min.) to make the stand compact and somewhat easy to carry- eMail me at g8tr1522@aol.com if you have questions about that-. Otherwise, the stand is quite difficult to transport. Overall, the stand offers amazing stability for such a small price. Even considering its major drawbacks of portability, I would still definitely recommend this stand to anyone who wants a reliable two-tier stand for a small price.

I purchased this stand to mount two keyboards in my home studio. I was tired of the rocking back and forth that I'd encountered with some other stands in the past. This one is strong and steady...no movement when I play. It took me about 30 minutes to put it together, but once together it's fairly easy to adjust. I'd think this one might be a little harder to travel around with than some, although it probably gets easier to assemble and disassemble once you've done it a few times. Very sturdy product. Just what I was looking for.

This stand is super great. Very sturdy! One minor thing that almost went wrong though. Before I bought it I read the reviews and I came across a complaint that the tier arm holder was warped so it wouldn't fit. I thought that that was one in a million so I made the purchase anyway. One tier fit right in. The 2nd tier not so much. Though eventually I got it in, I had to bang and wiggle the thing for a good 5 minutes because it was slightly warped. Then I barely made it fit. So buying this, you are taking a bit of a chance. I hope the customer service is good.

Sturdy, pretty good adjustability. A bit cumbersome for tranporting and setting up (lots of separate pieces to deal with). The top and bottom widths are the same, so both keyboards need to be approximately the same width (you can't "angle in" the top tier arms like you can on some of the 2-tier X-Frame stands).
The biggest benefit for this type of Z-Frame stand is having lots of room for feet and pedals if you play seated and/or use a lot of pedal effects / loopers, etc, in additon to sustain/volume pedals. I like the fact that the top tier is totally optional and can be removed entirely (on some stands the top tier can only be folded out of the way, not removed). I'm not crazy about the adhesive foam pads for the bottom tier, but so far they work fine. I do like the adjustable "front stops" on the top tier that keep your top board from sliding off the front. They are height-adjustable so they don't interfere with key action if you set them correctly. Overall a good value for the money. If you don't need to play seated and/or don't need a lot of room for feet and pedals I'd recommend a 2-tier X-Frame style stand instead (much easier to transport and set up) or maybe a 2-tier column stand (if you can afford one...they are trendy and overpriced). The other commmon option is an A-Frame stand but I've never owned on of those. They are probably a good choice if you need 3 tiers.

These stands are great. I had one for about two years and just recently bought a second. No bad surprises with either. Just really rock solid, with plenty of adjustment options. I tend to play pretty rowdy and can't get any sway, even when going nuts with a synth on the top tier.

First off I love this stand and would have given it 5/5 if not for a few things.
I have an M-Audio 49 key midi keyboard that rests on the top portion of the rack and a 1970's Wurlitzer 200a that sits on the lower (main) portion. I purchased this rack because my Wurli's original legs were getting loose in the MDf board where they screwed into the bottom of the Wurli - Needed something new and secure that it could sit on and it had to be safe for my two-year-old to do chin-ups on (i know, right.. kids). This stand is ultra-solid and it passes the kid test for sure. I love that it does not shake or move at all - very solid so 5 stars for that. The only issue I have with it (and pay attention vintage keyboard users) is that it has limited height adjustments. So in the case of the Wurlitzer I own that causes problems because it has an old, proprietary sustain pedal with a short cable... the pedal now does not reach the floor (as this stand sits a bit higher than average). In my case I just found a wood block that the pedal now sits on so it still works - but not perfectly. All-in-all you'd be hard pressed to find a better stand like this (and my Wurltizer is super-heavy) but pay attention to the height if pedal cable length is an issue at all.

Not much to say beyond the simple facts: This thing setup easily and it's sturdy as hell. An excellent value. I haven't travelled/gigged with it yet, but it appears to also collapse and travel pretty well too.
