I bought this guitar stand at Amazon for $9.99 plus free shipping. It works great. The base spreads out wide so you don't have to worry about it falling over and there is a little plastic latch that closes over the neck of your guitar so you don't have to worry about knocking the whole thing and the guitar popping out of the neck rest. I've never had any guitar stand before, so I don't know if there are other ones that are a lot better, but this one works well for a great price.

For the price, this is a decent stand. I'm the type who reads instructions and all the manuals that come with products I purchase. This came with no instructions. It wasn't difficult to assemble, but the lower base that is inserted into the lower tube was a bit tricky to initially get inserted properly. One then needs to place the guitar on the stand in order to figure out the best height for the long tubular piece that is inserted into the base. Once assembled, the stand seems like it will be a good, inexpensive support for one's guitar. I very much like the piece that locks across the top of the guitar stand in front of the neck--it's an extra bit of safety to prevent the guitar from falling forward out of the stand. This is a hard to beat price for a good stand.I tried going to the maker's website for instructions and Stagg Music site wouldn't load--even after several attempts? Again, figuring out how to assemble it is easy and shouldn't pose a problem for anyone.

Its a good stand but my main problem s the bottom piece does not securely go in. Its not a huge problem as it is still steady and does its purpose but because of that minus 2 stars. For the price its a good deal and arrives quick.

I purchased this stand as a gift for a musician and he loves it! He said it was really well made and just what he was looking for. He would recommend this product to anyone as for the price it's well worth the money!

I really like this stand. I could tell from the picture that it would be sturdy and I wasn't disappointed. I am writing this for one main reason, to clear up a slight confusion on "assembly" because one other reviewer mentioned it as well. I kept thinking that I wasn't putting it together correctly because the U shaped base was loose and could spin left or right. This is fine, not an issue. Once the weight of the guitar is on the stand nothing is moving anywhere. Assembly is super easy.

First of all, the packing job on this was done terribly. The box was not even sealed and the unit itself came very dented and damaged. Regardless I put it together and I compared it to the cheap musicians friend stand I have and that one is of much better quality even though it is cheaper.

Does the job well for sitting your guitar on display at home. Has proven to be very stable and doesn't easily knock over when kids or pets are in the room.

I love this stand. It came in three easy to assemble pieces, and the latching strap at the top (which comes jet black, not brown as shown) is much easier to use than the rubber strap that comes on stands such as the $5 Musician's friend product. I have many low cost stands and this one looks the best / does a fine job holding the guitar / is easy to latch and un latch with one hand. The guitar sits about 4 inches from the ground compared to other stands sitting around 6 inches (It looks better lower to the ground in my opinion).Great buy, don't sleep on this, especially with Amazon prime!

GOOD FOR FULL-SCALE BASS GUITARS TOO !!,

I LOVE this stand. Don't think it could be improved, esp. for the money. Was U$ 13 at the shop I bought my Xb-300 Stagg bass guitar (34 inches neck ) but I talked the salesperson into throwing it in the deal for free if I payed cash for the bass. This thing is rugged, well finished (painted matte-black), super-stable and beautiful. It screams durability. I use it to keep my bass off couches, beds and wall contact which might ruin the neck. It will accomodate virtually ANY kind of guitar or bass guitars, even extremely oddly shaped ones like mine and even Warlocks due to the padded, U-shaped pivoting bottom tubular piece. Made of extremely light yet sturdy aluminium tubing -3 parts which assemble intuitively in a breeze- covered in neoprene on the parts that make actual contact with the instrument, which won't break down with heat or friction and wont transfer to or blemish your guitar finish like cheaper rubber ones will. It has a plastic gate-like pressure-lock tab that prevents the neck from exiting the stand and platic cap at the end of every tube. The tripod is foldable so it virtually unobstrusive when stashed away. Oh did I mention how cool my bass looks displayed this way on my living room ?! It's a real eye-catcher !! Visitors can't help but noticing and asking !! At this price, you'll be hard-pressed to find a better stand. Really don't see the point on spending more on high-end stuff when there is such a well-built product available for so little. The Stagg guitar hanger is a nice complement to the stand. Be sure to chech it out. |
