It was made in the mid 1990's but the story holds up. Martin Clunes acted and directed. His wife Phillipa Braithewaite produced it. The idea that they met and fell in love while making this adds to its charm. And I think he has a very nice attractive appeal--this movie shows that he can be quite sexy in his own way.

As the story evolves it becomes more and more ridiculous. It is mildly funny. I have admired other roles played by Martin Clunes but I lost interest in this about halfway through.

Enjoyed seeing an early movie with Martin Clunes. Made in the 90's, I believe, he is not the mature individual we know now - but a typical guy in his late 20's, skinnier and showing his early acting skills. The movie itself is very funny and has some real belly laugh moments.
