Editorial Reviews

Book Description

The pocket-sized, themed volumes in the Stahl's Illustrated series combine theoretical information from Stahl's Essential Psychopharmacology with practical data from The Prescriber's Guide. Visual learners will find that these books make the concepts easier to master, and non-visual learners will appreciate the clear, shortened text on complex psychopharmacological concepts.

Working with addiction and Adult ADHD, this book is both an essential and understandable presentation for all those looking to understand the neurobiology and pharmacological treatments of these incredibly common conditions. Every psychiatrist should have this on their desk as an essential source to gain the necessary expert knowledge. Our patients deserve that we read and assimilate this book's information.

Speaking from no experience and very little education of drugs and how they work within our neurological system...it is not a layman's book. Some of it is not so hard to grasp, but I think a person would need to have a educational background to really enjoy! I gave it the nurse practitiooner I work with and she was verrrrryyyyy appreciative.
