4.0 out of 5 stars It Is What It Is.
If there is one band out there that has shown how quick time really flies, then it is Staind. A band who consistently releases a new album every two years and has now been in the business ten years. It's hard to believe it, but Staind aren't a new band anymore. "The Videos," a collection of every Staind video ever seen in the U.S. is a testament to the band's prominence...

1.0 out of 5 stars Staind the Videos for kiddies
Videos are censored. I would not have bought this had I known. If you're going to release music videos they should be unedited and explicit version of the song!!

If there is one band out there that has shown how quick time really flies, then it is Staind. A band who consistently releases a new album every two years and has now been in the business ten years. It's hard to believe it, but Staind aren't a new band anymore. "The Videos," a collection of every Staind video ever seen in the U.S. is a testament to the band's prominence and productivity. From the early days of being a Fred Durst directed band to the latter days where they look like old dudes who are totally out of place with the emo/metalcore scene of today, Staind and their music videos serve as a healthy dose of nostlagia.

Opening with 1999's "Just Go," which stars frotman Aaron Lewis' peculiar red eyebrows and his wife Vanessa and capping off with two live & acoustic performances, every video from the band you want can be found here. Little oddities such as the video for "How About You," which could only be seen on the Fuse channel and the live video for "Outside," which gained the band some crucial momentum at the time, make their way onto this collection, surprisingly. Having seen most of these videos dozens of times, I have to say I was more pleased to see the newer videos -- such as "Falling" and "Everything Changes," which I had never seen before. Anyone else? The live performances, of "Everything Changes" and "Sober," are nice, but beckon the question: Where is the rest of the performance? This DVD could have benefited more from being a live concert DVD other than just a run-of-the-mill music video collection -- especially since there are no special features to speak of (some commentary could have helped as well). But as it is, you're getting what you paid for. Nothing more than what's advertised, and nothing less. For me, personally, it's a nice trip down memory lane.

5.0 out of 5 stars For a true fan!, January 18, 2007
This review is from: Staind: The Videos (DVD)
I love this band so I was excited to grab this DVD...all of my favorite songs get the visual treatment they deserve...and who doesn't just LOVE the video for 'Mudshuvel'?!?!?! Freaking amazing! With rare treats like 'Just Go' and 'How About You' to videos that anyone with MTV has seen, like 'Home' and 'It's Been Awhile', this DVD has just about everything, missing some, but you really can't complain too much. I'da purchased this just for 'Mudshuvel' so to me everything else is just bonus! Liked the inclusion of 'Everything Changes'...that was a nice surprise.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Outside Video, January 15, 2007

I have been reading on this site of people complaining on this site that the ORIGINAL 'Outside' video is not on this DVD, well you can find the ORIGINAL 'Outside' video on Youtube (not the concert video with Fred Durst; well you can find that one too but it's there), and if you do a Google search you can get the Youtube grabber and download the video from there if you want the video that badly....just an FYI.
Now with this DVD, I think that it's amazing to have almost all of the Staind videos on one single DVD, but there are some missing like 'Price To Play' and a couple of other's but I'm not complaining.

5.0 out of 5 stars Staind: 10 Years Anniversary & On, February 21, 2007
By
This review is from: Staind: The Videos (DVD)
Staind formed in 1996 and have been a band for 10 years touring the United States, Canada and Europe in that time as well as releasing best selling and highly acclaimed albums on the way. In late 2006 Aaron Lewis and band-members celebrated their 10 year anniversary by releasing this wonderfully constructed Music DVD simply called "Staind: The Videos". This music album has 14 tracks with 11 tracks being well-known and popular video clips of Staind songs with a cross section taken from all their albums.

'Just Go' from Tormented released before Staind became known on the nu-metal/hard rock scene. 'Mudshovel' (Original Version), 'Home' from their first album produced under Fred Dursts' tutalage called Dysfunction. Track 4 is the 'Outside' film clip from the 1998 Family Values Concert. Personally this isn't my alltime favourite Outside version but it is still decent. 'It's Been Awhile', 'Fade', 'For You' and 'Epiphany' from the hit album 'Break The Cycle'. This is also my all time favourite staind album.

'How About You' & 'So Far Away' from 14 Shades of Gray. The latter song is a retrospective of how the band members feel away from family on the road and is a quality view into the band. 'Right Here Waiting' & 'Falling' from their most recent hit album Chapter V. I would have also liked to see the music video for 'Cross to Bare' on this DVD. The last 3 tracks include the music video for a epic song 'Everything Changes' that is a softer song than most other Staind song and is quite touching. 'Sober' is a cover song played live acoustically and it is not a bad song at all. It was originally created and performed by Cold. The last track is the live acoustic performance in full of 'Everything Changes'.

The video quality is good and the product came to my mail box without wear and tear. The DVD plays beautifully. What would have made this DVD that much more unforgettable was if extras could have been added like Behind the Scenes or Bonus Songs. This is for all serious, true blue Staind fans to add to their growing collection. Staind will be around for another decade to come. Rock on Staind!

3.0 out of 5 stars Acceptional, December 18, 2006
This review is from: Staind: The Videos (DVD)
I thought that this was a nice compilation of videos, but my only criticism of it is that it does not include the original video for 'Outside'. Other than that no problems really, but i recall that with Marilyn Manson's hits/videos release, there was an album by album type navigation on the dvd for selecting what video you wanted to watch, i would have recommended that something like that have been done here - i thought the screen design was quite lazy.

I guess theres another version of outside. These record companies are riduculous. Include it all. Their greatest hits mentions fade in the liner notes, but doesn't include it. WTF
