This coloring book is a refreshing and creative change to the traditional coloring book format. Markers and watercolors seems to work best in allowing the light to come through finished products, when displayed on windows. There's a mini-version for those not sure about trying the full-size version right off the bat, and from there it's a short leap off into other such stained glass coloring books, e.g., snowflakes. Great fun and definitely a nice change from the ordinary - we highly recommend them.

This was a gift for a grown woman who needed a little R&R. Since she was not a fan or knitting or crocheting, this was just the ticket to give her a little calming and entertaining activity to indulge in while listening to music or watching TV.
If you think that coloring books are just for children, you should really check out some of the Dover coloring books! The illustrations are lovely and involve themes that are often quite artisticaly sophisticated!
