Short and good and inexpensive
I have read dozens of beginners books and this one still shines. It is spare in images and the words are used economically, but for covering the bases of beginning copper foil it is still the one I recommend. This book is the older equivalent of the "Quick Start Guide" we now all get with digital cameras, cell phones, etc. It may not be the ne plus ultra, but it gives you...

Spend more money
This book is cheap, and might be a good buy for someone taking a class and wanting a refresher, but I doubt it. There are other nice books out there that made me a lot more excited about this great craft!

This book is cheap, and might be a good buy for someone taking a class and wanting a refresher, but I doubt it. There are other nice books out there that made me a lot more excited about this great craft!

I have read dozens of beginners books and this one still shines. It is spare in images and the words are used economically, but for covering the bases of beginning copper foil it is still the one I recommend. This book is the older equivalent of the "Quick Start Guide" we now all get with digital cameras, cell phones, etc. It may not be the ne plus ultra, but it gives you enough to get a running start. It costs about the same as a high end espresso and whipped cream Frankenstein, but the good effect outlasts the best caffeine buzz.

It was a good overview providing lots of detail to the methods. Cannot beat the (used) price either.
