5.0 out of 5 stars What I was looking for
I am a novice in stained glass...I know the fundamentals of cutting, soldering, finishing, etc.. What this book provides is some really cool extensions and applications of the basic skills. There are awesome designs that will be great in any garden either as a gift or, if you are an artist looking to produce pieces, works that will sell themselves.

3.0 out of 5 stars The Stained Glass Garden
Nice book, clear pictures, glossy pages, good ideas. Most of the projects are large and time consuming. Need to have other talents to make a few of the projects, eg need to be able to work with copper pipe, (cut, solder). A book more for advanced craftspeople.

I have been working with stained glass for awhile now,and I am always looking for new ideas.I could not afford the classes and materials,so I got hired on in a glass shop. Now,I make things all the time, for other people. This book gave me some some great ideas of things to make for the garden.Flowers don't last forever, but glass looks beautiful and lasts for a long time.I love the sprinklers,I think they are lovely!

This is the second book I have from these two author/artists. I have enjoyed both immensely! They have clear instructions, wonderful pictures and terrific projects that are different.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent book, informative and creative., December 1, 2007

This book has all kinds of information, from basic tools, materials and procedures used, to instructions for making your own light table to work on. Includes patterns from simpler plant stakes and candle holders, to really extravagant lawn sprinklers. Awesome book, good for beginners and the more experienced. Don't know why they chose that cover photo, it is nowhere near the best or prettiest project in the book.

This book is full of step by step easy to read and construct glass projects for the garden. Even though I have a deep respect for Art Noveau and Victorian sometimes I like designs that are modern and fresh. This is the book with simple yet eye appealing projects. It takes glass to a whole new level.

4.0 out of 5 stars Something different, April 10, 2007
This review is from: The Stained Glass Garden: Projects & Patterns (Hardcover)
I enjoy using this book, it is well laid out with materials list for every project, it has easy to follow steps, very clear illustrations and lovely ideas.
Like most books there are some projects I don't particularly like - but other people may like them, even so these projects can lead to new ideas using different types of materials.

It also contains some challenging projects that in time - who knows I may take on

This is one of my favorite stained glass books! It has great projects for beginners and more experienced stained glass crafters. The instructions are detailed and the photos are very helpful, also.
