I purchased this feeder to place in a very large flight cage for my pet birds.
The feeder is well-made and attractive. It is easy to fill with seeds - just slide the roof up the rope that is attached on top. It is also easy to install wherever you'd like to place it. Simply hook the loop in the rope on a nail or cup hook and you're done! I like the idea that every other pane is decorated to look like stained glass and the other panes are clear. It's nice to be able to see through to the seeds to make sure nothing is contaminating the seeds. This feeder can easily accommodate little finches and other small birds. It would be a little awkward for larger birds, like jays or cardinals, but I'm sure they'd find a way to get that seed! Overall, I am very happy with this feeder and it makes a very attractive addition to my flight cage without taking up too much room. I have it hanging from the ceiling of the cage - just a little in front of the balcony area I constructed for the birds. I'm sharing this info with the hopes that you can see that this little feeder is great indoors or outdoors.

Photo is deceiving,

The photo makes it appear that all panels of glass are stained. This is not the case. Every other panel has the stained glass effect.
