There is more to stained glass than Tiffany, although few readers would argue about the merits of owning the genuine article. Di Spirito expands the visual and dictionary definition of what it means to put colored glass together. She begins by describing five types in addition to Louis Comfort's style--traditional (i.e., church), modern collage, mock, etched, and stained glass with grisaille. She then presents in-depth information on glass (choices and things to think about when selecting glass) and techniques. Six projects, one each for her identified types, are well positioned for both beginners and somewhat experienced crafters; a peacock, for instance, spreads its tail elegantly over a faux panel. The final touch is a panoply of thirtysomething pages filled with designs to copy.
