They're well made, high quality and smooth.

They give the control of nails, yet the tone and protection of metal - and I can feel the strings!

Once fit to each finger using a pair of pliers to execute the bend, these picks stay put.

The first time I used these my banjo playing speed improved almost immediately. They are made of a very tough to bend steel (for strength), but I was still able to fit them comfortably to my fingers. I was able to feel the strings with my fingertips, as I am used to when playing guitar, but also get the sharp fingerpick attack required for bluegrass banjo. These things are awesome. Once I started playing with them, my playing improved. I recommend these highly.

I play with fingernails and just can't control standard metal banjo-style fingerpicks because I can't feel the strings. I used Alaska picks for years, which are very good. These are better. They give the control of nails, yet the tone and protection of metal - and I can feel the strings! Muting, harmonics, everything... If you play with nails and want finger picks, these are for you.

Dunlops are all that I have previously used, thumb and fingers. I still use the Dunlop thumb pick, but these finger picks, from Tone Deaf present themselves as a much smaller, focused striking surface that allow me greater control when playing the guitar, banjo or dulcimer. I just received the picks and don't yet know about longevity, but as long as Tone Deaf provides these picks, they will have me as a customer.

These finger picks are the most playable I've ever used. You can't compare the feel to anything else I've tried. Being able to touch the strings allows for that bare-fingered tactile sensation while striking a bright, clear tone. I've adjusted them to angle slightly toward the thumb side of each finger pad to correct the striking angle for my hand placement. When I file my thumb pick nice & short my Travis picking improved about 2 levels instantly compared to bare-fingered comfort with the best pick struck sound I've enjoyed yet.

I have just deleted a seller review I wrote when my order was a week delayed with no sight thereof. The picks did arrive, about a month after I ordered them. They are quite nice and fit well. I'm a novice with fingerpicks and really like the open design; it produces volume while feeling almost as comfortable as picking with bare fingers.

One caveat: if you have thick fingers, these may not fit you. I have good-sized hands for a woman and they fit me, (and are adjustable to a point) but my husband gave up trying to use them very quickly. (Thus I now have a nice set of picks all to myself, and he will have to keep looking.)

One more caveat: If you are having a fingerpick emergency and live outside the UK, either shop elsewhere or shell out the bucks for overnight shipping. I had these shipped standard and, as I have mentioned, they took about a month to arrive. The seller sent me a nice response when I wrote after three weeks, but really couldn't give me any info--tracking is not available with this item so Heaven knows where those picks wandered before finding their way into my mailbox. If you ship standard, ignore the stated delivery date and prepare to be waiting a while. Delivery speed is the reason this product only got 4 stars from me.

I'm just beginning to learn about my lap steel guitar, so I'm no expert on what finger picks should be. However, I really liked the design of these because they're very sturdy yet fairly easy to adjust and don't have any points that can hook onto the strings and pull too hard. I'm looking forward to using them a lot!

Not as smooth as a full metal finger pick when the strings are picked. They do fit the fingers well.

I think these picks work great. I like that fact that more skin is exposed to the air and can breathe. The tone might be a bit warmer with these picks, probably due to the round shape of the edge over the fact that the skin is exposed. I not think there is much skin contact with the strings even with these pics. They are well machined and polished. I'd say the only disadvantage is when you have to take them apart from being in your pocket. They can get seriously tangled up with all the loops and curved hooks as they are designed. Overall I'm very pleased.
