I purchased this 21 gallon trash can in August of 2009 for our new home and it is still going strong. Also purchased two 13 gallon infrared trash cans for the bathrooms. All three have with stood my two grandboys who, unfortunetly, love to bang the lids shut.

I saw one other review that gave this a negative. Sorry to see they were not capable of going farther down the page to read the actual product description that it has a 21 gallon capacity. No need to slam a product because not everything you need to know is in the title. Learn to research your products.

I actually paid less for an automated stainless steel trash can than I would have for a regular stainless steel trash can.

Comes in very handy when your hands are full or very dirty. I would highly recommend this product.

This is the best trash can I have ever owned. Love the look of it and it's large enough to hold quit a lot and very easy to use. I am very pleased with this product.. Only one complaint which has nothing to do with the can..The shipping rate is quite steep, but it was worth it.

It is not often you can purchase an item like this for your wife and have her excited. I took a chance thinking how wrong could I be. She loved it. It functions perfectly and has a much larger capacity than any other trash can we considered. It also saves trips outside to empty. I would definately recommend as a great buy for the price.

We purchased 2 of the Stainless Steel Motion Sensor Trash Cans, one large and one small. The small one has worked great for over a year. The large one worked great for a time but now it only opens part way at times, sometimes it closes OK. But it is not working right all the time. The batteries have been replaced and tested several time and are always OK. We are at our wits end as to whats wrong or what to do about it? Loved it but due to the problem we wouldn't buy another one. We hope someone has a solution!

I bought this for my parents and the loved it! The only downside was that it arrived with a dent in it. It had to have happened before shipping though because it was packed very securely for shipping... and... DOES NOT COME WITH BATTERIES!

I was looking for a while - trying to decide on which of these types of trash cans I should buy- as they are all so pricey. Finally I chose this one as all the reviews where so good. I was not disappointed. I love this trash can....and so does every else that uses it. I love the fact that I don't have to touch the can lid when I clear plates. We just need to get past the point where the kids no longer think its fun to trigger the sensor every 2 minutes. Be warned however it's a large can- holds a lot- so when it opens it does smell if its half full, though fortunately not when shut!

I ordered this looking for a large capacity trash can. It holds a great deal more than a standard size can and the no touch feature is great. We love it.

PURCHASED THIS CAN A FEW MONTHS AGO TO STORE MY DOG'S FOOD. GREAT CAN WITH A VERY SENSATIVE MOTION SENSOR. NO COMPLAINTS SO FAR.

I have been using touchless trash cans for several year, and I have mostly owned the 13 gallon size. I needed a bigger trash can for the recyclables in the kitchen. This touchless trash can has much more room than my 13 gallon. I still use a 13 gallon for the trash, but this 21 gallon trash can works much better for boxes and packages for the recyclables. This item looks so nice in my kitchen. It has plenty of room for all our disposable items. Great product.
