This distinct, nostalgic straining tool is often used by the host or bartender looking to showcase their skill with a more traditional take on the common prong strainer. Rather than fitting within the steel side of a boston shaker, this strainer fits within the inside of the glass side. With a little bit of practice, the pouring display that can be put on with the Julep strainer can easily outshine that of its modern relative.

Gee, I don't know why people were displeased with this product. The sticker, a little one, peeled off in seconds. It works fine. Maybe it isn't of the highest quality, but for the price, I think this is a great little product and certainly does the trick. It's great for home use and I recommend it highly!

I bought this to strain Sazerac cocktails from one glass to another. I think it's just fine. Nothing fancy and not the heaviest gauge of metal but it works, it cleans up well, the holes are large enough to strain efficiently and it's the right size to fit into a metal or glass portion of a Boston shaker also. I am glad I bought this and now my bar implement list is complete. Of course, I need to keep well stocked on the Peychaud bitters now and keep this handy dandy gadget earning its keep!

I've run this strainer through the dishwasher about five times and there does not appear to be any rust or discoloration. Fits nicely, handle side south, into a Boston/Pint glass for storage.

Adequate but irksome
