Used my Pineapple Easy Slicer for the first time last night. It was so easy to use. I will be buying more fresh pineapple now. I am going to order more of the slicers for gifts!

When I first got this tool it did not look like much but with use I got the knack of it and now I cannot be without it. I have used it dozens of times on fresh pineapples and it's fun and easy to use. Trick is to keep it straight up and down so you don't impact the sides. Only bad part is there is a hole in the bottom so the core of the pineapple goes into the tool. But the dowel like handle of a wooden spoon gets it right out with a small push. It's really a fun handy tool to add to any ones kitchen.

I consider myself pretty good with knife when cutting the pineapple, but this tool hands down one of the best tool I have ever used. MUST HAVE if you like pineapple.

I bought this pineapple corer for work (I work in food servicing) and we normally cut up the fruit ourselves. The first time using this corer was absolutely amazing. But then not so much...

Pros:
Stainless steel
Very smooth cutting

Cons:
Plastic handle
The clip in the handle
Pineapple gets stuck in metal
Blades are pretty sharp - cut my finger
Core sometimes gets stuck in the middle
Have to aim for the core
Wastes a lot of pineapple
Juice spills all over the place

I would recommend this product, but it's not as nice as you'd think it would be.

I purchased 3 corers One had burrs on the blades and had to be filed before we could use. The other two did not have any burrs but had spots similar to rust. While it isn't actually rust, I expected them to be in new condition when I received them.

Although I don't usually eat a lot of pineapple we recently had a party requiring lots of pineapple and using this device really simplified the job of getting the fruit out. Though you may lose some of the fruit near the wider bottom section of the pineapple and feel compelled to the slice the rind open and shave out the remains which makes for a messy process. If you want to keep it neat, toss the rind as soon as you finish coring it. Remember to press down firmly will cutting and don't stop until you've reached the hilt of the device. If you do you'll see there's still fruit left to draw out. Although when I successfully cored the entire fruit in one effort I found the suction a bit much to overcome when trying to draw it out, so maybe doing a few inches at a time would be easier but you have to take the handle apart to remove the pineapple rings and the core needs to be ejected by driving something down the shaft. It makes clean neat rings just like Dole does for their canned fruit but it tastes so much better. (I guess if you wanted run a knife down one side to cut the spiral off the shaft, so you didn't have to remove the handle each time, that would work too...)
Updated: The handle as a spring loaded button so you can remove it for easy cleaning. Good idea but bad execution. The spring popped out and got lost and now the whole thing is impossible to use. I had to throw it away. They should put a safety cap on the end of the handle to catch the spring if it ever comes loose or put in a spring that won't pop out.

It appears to be constructed of a metal-ish material with shoddy welds and a cheap hollow plastic handle, (i.e., does not appear to be stainless steel). The plastic handle contains two plastic oval pieces which are meant to click into place on the metal corer piece. Unfortunately, with the beginning of the first twist into the pineapple the plastic pieces did not hold, rendering the tool useless. I tried to use it, but the plastic handle pieces repeatedly popped out of place (resulting in the plastic handle spinning in place inside the metal-ish corer). It is a useless waste of time and money.

Don't buy this corer. The handle keeps slipping out of the top of the metal tube. So much pressure is required to get the corer to turn that you lose a lot of the pineapple juice. It is also so hard to turn that my wife could not use it at all.
When I requested to reutrn the corer for refund, it was approved but the return address is in China. The return postage is more than the cost of the corer. A bad product made even worse!!
