It fit perfectly and it seems to further stabilize the plat form.

Being a glock, there are a lot of modifications out there, mods, that will improve the performance and/or aesthetic value of your glock.

I installed this into my gun and it came apart after about 200 rounds.

I recently purchased a glock 26, "baby glock" which I absolutely love. It's accurate and compact. Being a glock, there are a lot of modifications out there, mods, that will improve the performance and/or aesthetic value of your glock. This does both!! The original stock recoil guide rod is black and made of plastic with a metal spring around it. It's very flexible and light. This causes a problemo with recoil, making recoil significantly highter. The stainless steel guide rod is made of steel and is not flexible, which affects gun, making less recoil, thus better aiming after the first shot. It's easy to install.

Plus, it's silver. The end of the rod is a stainless steel plate which protrudes (just like the stock) out of the gun under the barrel. To have that contrasting silver makes your gun look a little bit more cooler (in my opinion).

I recommend this to all glock owners. I put a few hundred rounds in the gun already with the rod..no problemos. And if you really want to mod up cheaply, you can also get (from this same company) a stainless steel extended rail catch, and of course..nailpolish (unlike all of those that use white, i use silver) the etchings on your rail. Look at utube on instructions for that.

This is a very well made piece. Workmanship and materials are excellent. I have been using this for 5 months and wanted to get many rounds through the gun as to write an accurate review. As others, It has had very positive effects on my Glock 27. The stiffer than original rod noticeably reduces "muzzle flip" and allows for faster sight reacquisition . However.......the reason for 3 stars is that as shooting with this assembly, I noticed the rod seemed to stick out more and more with each couple of rounds. I found that the end piece mounted near the chamber kept getting looser each time I shot. This meant taking apart the gun and tightening the end cap. IJust 3 days ago I took the assembly apart and applied a generous amount of red Locktite. My last range day saw 25 rounds thru the gun and it appears (for now at least ) the problem is solved. If this does not cure it.....I will try a small dab of JB weld. I really do not think that I should have to do all this....as the piece should be secured from the factory. Other than that though.....I love the part. Capt. Ed UPDATE 12-22-13 After 100 rounds the end piece has not loosened. Problem solved. Still only 3 stars as I should not have had to do this. Merry Christmas to All. Ed

Put only about 100 rounds through my gen 4 glock 27 since installing this but so far, so good.. I'd always been put off by the polymer guide rod assembly and found this to work great thus far. I had heard stories of similar (rebuildable ones with threaded parts) steel spring assemblies breaking off but this one isn't rebuildable an ships as a solid unit. I haven't noticed any decrease in recoil, in fact it could be just a little more aggressive now that there is no lateral give in the recoil assembly... I'd buy this again though.

I had asked a question before I purchased this item if the guide rod was steel. The majority said no it's a stock Glock plastic guide rod with heavier springs. All I can say is they didn't buy the same product I did. The guide rod is steel end caps are steel and of course the springs are as well drop installation and this item is worth twice what I paid. So for all of you who think this is just so standard plastic rod you are dead wrong. It also helps with staying on target I am ordering sets for all my Glocks.

High quality product. Fired 100 rounds without a problem. Honestly, I didn't notice any recoil difference between this and the factory glock guide rod with my glock 27 gen 4. Overall great product!

It arrived quickly, took the gun to the range days after and it performed well. I ran my departments course of fired and score really good, with the Baby Glock (27).
