This all-stainless steel bombilla is easy to clean, resists clogging, and even has two scrapers on the bottom of its spring-loaded sieve to aid in cleaning your cup full of spent mate. A+

BEST Bombilla,

This is the best bombilla I have ever owned. It is a spring end which makes it very easy to clean. If you drink mate every day, your bombilla will accumulate a green, film on the inside from all the tea, which can start to affect the taste of your mate. So with this style you can get a small bottle brush and clean all that stuff out. My wife is from Uruguay (she has been drinking mate for over 30 years), and this is the style she likes best for drinking Yerba Mate.

I have been drinking mate for about 5 years. It is an amazing drink and makes life that much better. Unfortunately, this bombilla ruins the experience and many of the tea leaves get passed the filter. This is like a design from argentina, which is supposed to filter the leaves through the tiny slit openings of a kind of spring. Well the gaps between the spring are too large and let many pieces of the yerba (or loose leaf) get into your mouth, which makes it no fun. Since they use this weird system of oversized slits in the spring, and then little holes beyond the slits of the spring, the bombilla gets clogged all the time. It is one of the only bombillas that I have ever had that gets clogged and needs repositioning every time after re-pouring. I used this bombilla about 5 times, and eventually ended up throwing it in the garbage due to a wasted 10 dollars. It is so far from a traditional bombilla and what it is supposed to do as a bombilla it is ridiculous!
My friend from Argentina highly agreed with me on this post. It was actually his idea to complain about this bombilla, and he is a life mate drinker who knows too much about how a bombilla and gourd should work, which really is pretty simple, it just looks like the company put too much engineering into their product. Anyways, if you want to go with Eco teas because of their name and different ideas go for it, but this would be the last bombilla I would ever buy.
