Not for everyone
This book is beautiful, spare and elegant. It features perfectly rendered variations on stairs which pop-up in the book. One is almost tempted to find Escher-like meaning in this book. It is a must-have for any true pop-up book collector! It is not for everyone, however, as it is really a work of art, rather than a simple enternainment.

Elaborately bound and boxed, it seems more like a promotional gimmick for Jansma's archtecural firm than a true pop-up book. Compared to a fascinating pop-up like Carter and Diaz's THE ELEMENTS OF POP-UP, or the work of Robert Sabuda, the pop-up collector may find STAIRS a little - well - pale.
