We use this kite line but if you had to roll it up by hand you'll be there awhile. We use a cordless drill to rewind the 500 feet of line. We have a great time flying kites and this spool makes it easy to hold on to and the kites fly 500 feet up and out.

They call it "Stake Line" but it comes set up for kites. There is a fishing type clip already tied to the end of the line. Just clip it on your kite and you're ready to go. The other end is tied securely to the spool to ensure that it doesn't slip off as you pass 499'.

Winding in 500' of kite string is a great forearm workout. ;-)

Very durable line, but its almost too much to coil by hand so I use my 1/2"cordless drill to wind it up. Makes flying the kite more enjoyable.
