Product Description

The Internet...a world without rules, without boundaries. Where you can be anyone you want, whoever you aren't. And it's all just a click away...

Mina and Camille share everything. So why would Camille take off without telling Mina? The cops think she's just being your average flakey teenager, but Mina doesn't buy it. Camille isn't average, and she certainly isn't flakey. Then Mina finds a trail of emails between Camille and some stranger. Could this be the key to Camille's disappearance?

Mina decides to investigate on her own. What she finds draws her deeper into the mind of a killer with a twisted obsession. And Camille is about to become the killer's next victim.

Different people in different places. The one thing they have in common is a new address on the Internet: danger.com. Where all your fears come true.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant!!!, June 20, 2001
By Birgit Grundler (Osnabrück/Niedersachsen, Germany) - See all my reviews
After a quarrel between the two ex-best-friends Mina and Camille, also called Camy, Camille is missing. Her parents, the police and the other people think she has just run away as it is typical for teenagers. But Mina doesn't think so. With Camy's ex-boyfriend, Mick, the scornful girl makes investigations. They come across a dangerous stalker who terrorizes the famous actress Deva Winter ... The case becomes more complicated but then a dead body is found - Camille's. Nevertheless, Mick and Mina don't give up and keep on hunting the murderer. They've just one chance: Mina must play the stoolpigeon in order to trap the Stalker. A dangerous task ... This book shows that life for popular teenagers isn't so easy as you might think. You can be lonely as well. Jordan Cray's novel is very sad, you sympathize with the characters, especially with Mina and K.D. and understand them. Impressing is Mina's change of character. The sarcastic girl becomes a strong, sensible, thoughtful and lovable person. It's not only a simple Internet crime novel, it has depth and truth. Once started the story demands to be finished. One of the best books I've ever read!!! I also recommend "The ShadowMan" and "Dead Man's Hand" .

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutly Great, August 6, 2000
By Kurt (Wisconsin) - See all my reviews
This book is like my favorite book of all time!!!! This book is interasting, exciting, adventures, and absolutly great. It is like a horor mystory. Its fun to try to figer out the mystory while you read. And It's fun in the beginning cause you don't know what's happining. But one thing I don't recomend this book for any child of the ages 10 and under because of the violence and deathes.

Hope this helped. Bye Now!

4.0 out of 5 stars Danger.com The Stalker, May 22, 2000
By A Customer
Danger.com, The Stalker: the title alone is enough to send achill down your spine, and after reading it, you'll sure thinktwice about going on the internet again. The characters are Camille, who is your typical teen, from fashion to gossip. She and Mina used to share everything, though over the months they've grown apart. Her homelife isn't the greatest. Mina is a friendly, down to earth girl whose idea of fun is hanging at the mall, and chilling with her buds. And Mick, who believes he's lovable, and a cute ex-boyfriend, adds his input along the way. This suspensful thriller is about a teenager whose life changes after meeting someone on the internet. Set in the modern world of the 1990's, this story is based on the life of an average teenager, until the website Danger.com is found. Camille and Mina meet at the mall, where Camy persuades Mina to to come with her and meet her internet friend. But after a fight, they end up going home separately. However, Camille never makes it home. The police believe that she's a typical run-away, coming from a not-so-happy family, but Mina knows Cami is more levelheaded than that. So Mina, and Cami's ex-boyfriend, Mick, follow the clues to help find their friend. They follow e-mails, and pick up tips from people along the way. There seems to be a suspicious girl who works at the mall, and for some reason, a worshiped movie star, Deva Winter, seems to tie in. But as these clues unravel, they get into even more trouble than they'd ever dreamed. If you love suspense, mystery, and thrills, this book is for you. And as the title says, Surfing the Net Can Be Hazardous to Your Health. If you like this one, try reading other books in the Danger.com series, like Shadow Man, Gemini 7, Hot Pursuit and Firestorm.
