I've coached baseball for several years, and I've owned several radar guns (Bushnell, Pocket Radar) and this is the best of the bunch by a long shot. This gun does not give phantom readings or blank readings like most other guns, no more frustrations for players or coaches with the gun missing a pitch or giving an odd reading. It's precise to +/- .1 MPH (gives readings to one-tenth of a MPH). Yes, it's more expensive than a "cheaper" gun like a Bushnell or Pocket Radar, but, to me, the price is well worth the increased reliability and accuracy. At sub-$500, it's a professional quality radar gun and has the features and accuracy you would expect from $1000+ gun. I'm very happy with the purchase. [Additionally, Optics Planet, the seller, was terrific...allowed me a no-hassle return on another gun, prior to purchasing this.]
