Editorial Reviews

Review

4 1/2 flames Rare Find
A crafty thriller that takes the reader into the mind of a mentally unstable madman. The plot will draw you in and hold you; it will scare you and make you think who might be watching you as you wait and watch for Jeremy Talbot's next move. Nicely done.
Sandy McCann, Reviewer

With skill and precision, Susan K. Droney takes us through the disturbing existence of Jeremy Talbot, stopping frequently on the way to fill us in with the lives of those who are unfortunate to associate with him. The Stalker is a gripping read. With every page delivering tension and intrigue, you can't go wrong.

This review is from: The Stalker (Paperback)
Jeremy Talbot is a troubled young man. A loner who hears voices in his head, Jeremy longs to find the love in his life he never had, but his demons keep him down and angry. A gifted writer, Jeremy graduates from college plotting revenge on those who betrayed him all his life. His parents, Gilbert and Millicent Talbot, didn't want each other let alone a child and made their son's life a living hell. There's Professor Burgess, Jeremy's creative writing instructor who Jeremy thinks is overly critical, subjecting Jeremy to ridicule. But they're only a few people on Jeremy's revenge list.

One day a ray of sunshine enters Jeremy's lonely existence in the form of Rebecca Walker. Pretty and popular, Rebecca befriends Jeremy and he falls madly in love, knowing that they are meant to be forever. The problem is Rebecca is practically engaged to Nicholas Adams.

After graduation, Jeremy soon begins a transformation into Nathaniel Cummings, a successful but secretive novelist. His obsession for Rebecca continues over the years as it takes him from Pittsburgh to Boston leaving behind a trail of victims in his wake as he pushes forward to claim his Rebecca. But it can't last forever. Soon detectives are on his trail.

THE STALKER is a crafty thriller that takes the reader into the mind of a mentally unstable madman and the effect his actions have on the people who are unfortunate enough to be in his life. The plot will draw you in and hold you; it will scare you and make you think who might be watching you as you wait and watch for Jeremy Talbot's next move. Nicely done.
