* First off, the book retails for $19.99 - I picked up a copy from Cabela's *

I've hunted for whitetails on the ground for a few years, but I never knew the techniques I've been missing. Asbell's book is a must-have for any serious stalking hunter.

In the book he spends lots of time teaching you how to stalk, from how to walk in the woods to 'deerwalking.' It gives some real-life examples from Fred's previous hunts, going over how he was able to sneak up on the most elusive of game.

Some other great points of the book: 1) There is a section dedicated to footwear 2) There is a section on clothing selection (and it might surprise you) 3) One portion of the book is about shot timing, with pictures (when you can draw your bow and not have the animal see you) 4) The section on building ground blinds shows the various types and how to build each.

If you're tired of hunting from a tree, want a new challenge or just want to increase your chances of success hunting in the woods, this book is a must have.

This book sells for 19.95 at your largest traditional retailer. Also many large chain hunting stores carry it on their website for just under 20 bucks. Do not pay these prices.
