Story of a young lady in pure bloom of her sexuality,
By
This review is from: The Stallion (Black Lace) (Mass Market Paperback)
Yes, Georgina Brown, the author sure does not beat around the bush (forgive the pun) with Penny, our heroine, in this book. Penny, an avid horse lover and competitive jump rider decides to accept the sponsorship of a wealthy man, Alistair Beumont, on the recommendation of her best friend, with a bet, that, Penny has to bed good ole Alistair or loose the prize stallion that Penny owns. I never really understood what Penny would get if she wins the bet but I guess it would have been Alistair. Penny knew that there was a challange at hand when she had to go to a bank with her new boss, as part of her interview, totally, jay bird naked underneath a fuzzy wuzzy coat. Anyway, Penny in no time finds herself at the mansion of the Beaumont's, of course in a very remote part of the UK countryside, (I tell yas the books that I have read tell me that there is more sex going on in castles in the British countryside than ANYWHERE else in the world) with a merry menage of unbelievable sexy young and old men, and, (of course) Nadine the very very slim, good looking and dominant sister of Alistair. Penny, very quickly is the very very willing object of the men's All in all however I did enjoy the book although I think you'll have a tough time in finding cheap copies .....

Just Plain YUCK,
By MsCindyBooks "Cindy Books" (Florida, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Stallion (Black Lace) (Mass Market Paperback)
Only one star for this gaud awful story, and that is for the bathroom scene in the beginning; which I thought rather sensuous, even if the premise of it was silly as heck... Other than that this story got bizarre and unbelievable pretty quick! When I got to page 53 and read the hero, Alistair Beumont, wore rubber underpants and is sexually controlled by his dominatrix 6 foot 2, cherub smoking, and manly dyke of a sister, Nadine, well I just stopped reading and threw this piece of trash across the room. I felt robbed of my $7.99 (not including postage) I paid for this bit of garbage. If you like your heroes to wear rubber diapers, and a heroine that is so into her self that she could get off just looking at herself in the mirror (who needs anyone else when you got it all..huh?) Then this book is for you... I was afraid to read much more after I read Nadine only let Alistair out of his rubber panties when he wanted to relieve himself (you know potty stuff) or when she allowed him sexual release... How gross is that? I even looked at the end of the book and guess what; Alistair is still in those diapers!... ugh... Apparently other reviewers could relate to this book and its characters, but I just couldn't. I thought this story was totally un-sexy and very, very DUMB... Save your money.

A Very Well Written Erotic Book,
By
This review is from: The Stallion (Black Lace) (Mass Market Paperback)
This is a very well written book. The story moves along and the editing is well done. The plot is exciting and hot. Penny knows what she wants and is willing to do whatever it takes to get it, literally. Her sexuality is waken and she takes every opportunity to explore these new feelings. My only criticism is that there is not enough scenes with Alstair.

Excellent SM; not grungy or yucky. Elegant and very hot.

Exquisite, smoldering erotica!,
This review is from: The Stallion (Black Lace) (Mass Market Paperback)
Having recently read a couple of bad (to put it mildly) Black Lace books, the aforementioned imprint redeems itself with The Stallion. This is an excellent novel that mixes smoldering erotica with a compelling plot. Penny Bennett is an ambitious equestrian and she'll gain the sponsorship of the largest equestrian sponsor at all cost, even if it means surrendering to the rather unconventional lifestyle of the Beaumont household. Nadine Beaumont is a no-holds-barred dominatrix who treats her investments like ponies. Not only is Penny willing to submit to Nadine to get what she wants, but she'll also seduce Alister Beaumont -- Nadine's gorgeous and sensual brother. The sex scenes are insatiable and the development of the story is quite precise. The novel centers on BDSM and voyeurism. Georgina Brown writes erotica quite well. The Stallion isn't as memorable as The Captivation or The Tutor, but it shall appease erotica enthusiasts. I recommend it.

What a ride!,

This book is my first from Georgina Brown, but I hope not to be the last. It's an excellent example of the Black Lace series and I highly recommend it. The sex is hot, the characters are interesting and there is actually a plot (but who really cares? <g>). There's enough variety of sexual adventures to satisfy just about anyone and it's written very well. Can't wait to read the sequel (Runners & Riders).
