Additionally, its too heavy and hard to use because it is stiff. It might work, but if you need to cut a large piece I am sure your hand will hurt even if you don't suffer of arthritis. I should have bought a different one. I think I will return it.
I would not recommend this scissors.
I have oiled them.. Spent a whole night working them.. Nothing loosens them..
since this has arrived i don't think i have been able to get any sort of use out of it- specifically due to the amount of energy needed to use it. after the first attempt to cut a piece of fabric i noticed my thumb was sore at the joint and felt as though i had been doing work for hours!!
what made it worse is that when i looked at the fabric i had cut- whew!!! it was not usable!!! i eventually had to mark and cut again. i ended up using my regular straight scissors. and from then til now i have't so much as picked up this thing.
maybe if the screw was adjustable i could've loosened it but there is no guarantee what looser blades will do with the ability to cut.
unless you are accustomed to hi pressure jobs or feel that your thumb needs a work out- look for another option in pinking scissors
