I agonized long and hard over which elliptical to buy. I did not have much money to spend and I was afraid I'd really be compromising. This elliptical was simple to assemble by myself and I really like using it. It isn't perfect and shifts a bit on one side, but this could easily be construction-error on my part. Even so, the workout is great and I'm very happy! I've been using it for about a month and so far no complaints. I don't expect it to hold up for more than a year or so of heavy use, but hopefully I'll be surprised!

UPDATE: Nope - it did not hold up. Similar to other reviewers, I have had problems on the left side. The arm will not stay attached causing the entire left side to fall apart during use. No amount of fiddling can fix it. Now I'm hoping the manufacturer's warranty is decent. I was only able to use it for 60 days - at $2/day it turned out to be an awful, abysmal deal in the end.

THIS IS MY SECOND ONE THAT AMAZON HAS SENT ME. EVERYTIME I GET ON THE LEFT PEDAL UNSCREWS CAUSING ME TO FALL OFF OF THE MACHINE. I GOOGLED THIS PRODUCT AND FOUND OUT THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS MACHINE. I WISH I WOULD HAVE INVESTIGATED THIS PRODUCT BEFORE I WASTED MY MONEY. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS ELLIPTICAL TO ANYONE. DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!!

This machine broke a month after I got it. I would not recomend it unless you want to try to fix it yourself with the replacement parts.

left side broke then it stopped working from the inside. once i fixed the left peddle side it would not peddle anymore, it felt like it was locked up on the inside . Did not have very long and will never buy an eliptical online again.

I loved this machine until last week when I noticed that the left side was loose. I tightened it and then this horrible squeaking developed and the left arm keeps coming loose. I have not abused this machine, just used it as you should be able to.

I bought one of these last July. It was a little tough to put together, but it worked great.... at first. After only 3 months, it broke. Then, after a month of harassing Stamina's customer service describing the problem and trying to get help, they eventually sent me a manual of how to take the machine apart to fix the belt. This led me to discover that all the screws holding the elliptical together had been stripped. The machine is more or less unfixable, and instead of offering a refund or an exchange, Stamina just ignores my calls and emails.

I was the only one in the house who used the elliptical, I weigh 100 lbs, so I don't think I was straining it, and it was used 4 days a week for 30 mins. I hardly think that's excessive use of the machine, and yet it broke after 3 months. And Stamina's customer service is AWFUL.

Purchased this elliptical just over 2 years ago. Basically had very light, irregular use for the duration. Problem is also on the left side, and when we went to adjust the screw, we found out it was stripped and so was the inside of the pedal arm.

I bought this item and one of the pedals broke within two months. I emailed the manufacturer and they shipped a replacement free of charge because they know this is a known issue with this model.

It worked for a few days before the bolt that connects the left foot pad to the base became stripped, therefore rendering it unusable. I weigh 135 and this thing felt like it was going to fall apart the entire time it was used and yes, it was assembled properly.

Save up your money and get something better quality.

I had a good experience in buying and assembling this machine. This was my first experience assembling anything and I did fine. It feels a little loose when I am exercising, probably need someone stronger to tighten it up. I would recommend the product, it delivers what it promises.
