Product Description

Protect your floor from unsightly blemishes and nasty gouges with this Stamina fold-to-fit equipment mat. Designed to sit underneath most exercise equipment or to serve as a shock absorber for aerobic workouts, the mat is made of a closed-cell foam material that's tough yet soft, helping it absorb impact, eliminate vibration, and stop carpet fibers from migrating into the moving parts of your equipment. In addition, the mat measures a robust 84 by 36 inches (W x L), making it large enough to accommodate stationary bikes, elliptical trainers, stair steppers, rowing machines, Pilates reformers, ski machines, home gyms, weight benches, and mini trampolines. As a result, you needn't worry about scuffing your hardwood floor with gouges and scrapes, or creating nasty tears in your carpet. Finally, the mat is divided into seven folding sections, so you can easily customize it to any size of machine. The mat--which includes a textured, nonslip pebble surface that cleans easily--measures 1/4 inch thick and weighs roughly 7 pounds.

Long enough to fit any size of ellipticals.

The mat works great so far for protecting our carpet floor from the treadmill we put in the room.
R. Cried
The folding mat is thick and seems to be of very high quality.

Finally, a wide enough mat. Wide enough for a man. Actually, a smallish sweaty man. Sweating on the carpet is not cool. Working out partially on a mat and partially on tile/wood just plain sux.

Mostly though, I want a mat large enough to catch all that drippage so I can hose the thing off every now and then and make things clean again.

This mat is large enough that I can have both hands and both feet on it during push-ups. Those little yoga roll ups and stuff aren't sufficient. Also, my recumbent stationary bike fits completely over it. Once again, no sweat on the carpet.

This mat does fold up for storage/haulage and isn't very heavy. The material isn't nearly as robust as the stuff my treadmill mat is made from. On the other hand, that mat isn't going anywhere because it's too heavy and doesn't roll up well or easily.

This mat, however, is just about perfect for plopping on the carpet and getting some exercise.

My wife uses and elliptical machine religiously. We just moved into a different home that happens to have brand new carpet. We naturally wanted an exercise equipment mat to protect the flooring. The placement of the equipment, however, is in a corner where too long of a mat would have extended into a traffic area. After looking at all the mats on Amazon, it was obvious that the standard length is 70+" (72 mostly) whereas we needed just 60-65".

We ordered this mat and placed it under the machine. It is 84 inches long segmented into 12" folding sections. The material is very high quality and it does not mark or stain the carpet. With the folds, this mat fit perfectly under our unit. It should be noted that the elliptical has front and rear feet with a raised portion in between. The folded section fits underneath this raised portion. If you have a flat or wobbly piece of equipment, you may not want to fold the mat as the folded section is obviously a tad higher than the adjacent mat. It was perfect for what we needed.

This is a pretty nice mat that I've used both on my carpet (giant area rug) and wood floors with no damage to the flooring. It's made of some type of heavy-duty material that's pretty durable feeling, and mildly squishy. It has never moved or slipped on me, and it's quite difficult sliding my equipment around the room on it even if I intentially want it to.

There are two sides to this mat which confused me at first since I didn't know which side was supposed to be face down, or up. One side is smooth, and the other is bumpy and coarse. According to the photo which came with the packaging the coarse side with the logo is supposed to be upward (which makes sense as it causes traction for equipment) and the smooth side faces down.

I've noticed the equipment I use with this mat (Schwinn A40 Elliptical Trainer) leaves indentations in the mat where the footings are, although this is not a bad thing. Also, since my Elliptical Trainer doesn't need the full length of the mat I fold one section (each section is about 1.5 feet) on both ends underneath to keep it contained to a smaller square. Because of the folding it causes a little pocket which I've tripped over once or twice, but this is more because of the tiny space I have it in, as well as my lack of balance and stride.

If something ever happened to this mat, such as an epic chain saw accident or a burglars need for excellent exercise equipment mats, I would buy this again. For the price the quality seems exceptional, and it's convenient being able to fold it in the event I ever replace my Elliptical without having to worry if the new one will fit my mat.

I bought this mat because it has a larger size. I use it on my carpet floor for Yoga, Cardio, push-up, and sit-up, and I love it. I don't think it goes well with equipment cause it is too thin for heavy equipment. Best price and quick delivery. Amazon rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Stamina earns its 5 stars for providing value (good function on a relatively low price) and convenience as it can fold in a 3 ft. by 1 ft. bundle for quick and easy storage when needed if one must exercise in a room whose primary function may be something other than a home gym. I purchased mine for my treadmill and I am very happy with my purchase, so far.

Briefly, here are the more important facts worth knowing:

- 3 ft. wide by 7 ft. long. It's the perfect size for my full-size treadmill.
- Divided into 7 folds, 1 ft. each, making it easy to pack/unpack when needed.
- 1/4 inch thick, dense foam synthetic material.
- Textured surface.
- Slippery when wet.
- Easy to clean.
- 90 days limited warranty which, as it's ALWAYS the case with item in this price range is mostly symbolic - if it comes broken, simply return it.

The Stamina spent a couple of months under a treadmill that's used almost daily, often by more than one person. Unlike the rubber-coated equipment mats, this one sticks to the floor and holds the treadmill in place at the same time. I have no complaints at this time and, in fact, I am about to order a second one, probably the 6 ft. version, for our little Bowflex.
