It's been 7 months. September 2013 was my last pamphlet. Every now and then I look at my neighbor's front door, riddled with interesting articles on new gods and maid services and think I was once that popular. I could go back, but do I want to? It's times like this that I look at my sign and think "be strong," which is easier after stealing one of the neighbor's door droppings just to remember the feeling of a total stranger caring about the cleanliness of my home and soul. Seven months of no sales people knocking, no witnesses telling me about their gods, not even a single flyer from tito the repairman telling me about how my front porch will kill me some day if I don't get it fixed. It's like they don't even care anymore.. It's difficult to live with; at times I feel so alone and want to take down the sign, but I don't. I'm just not that person anymore. I don't need their friendship at 8AM like some sort of demented alarm on a Saturday morning, even if it means that I now accidentally get a full night's rest. At least, that's what I keep telling myself..

This "No Soliciting" sign is very noticeable from a good distance away, which is useful since we have a fairly long walkway and don't want to overly inconvenience the solicitors by having them walk all the way up to our porch just to be turned away. Now they can see it and just go away without inconveniencing me.

The sign itself is exactly as pictured, made with silver top and bottom borders and raised silver letters that standout nicely from the black background.

Recommended!

I purchased this No Soliciting sign after getting one too many magazine sales people at my front door. It arrived quickly and I was pleased with the appearance given the low price. It comes with two-sided tape and little grooves on the back where you can line up the tape, making it easy to mount. While this sort of thing isn't going to be super-attractive, overall I thought it looked fine on my front door.

Unfortunately, after only one day on the door the sign melted. Seriously, just the heat from sunlight on the door destroyed this sign in a single day! This was July in Maryland - it didn't even reach the 100 degree mark. I'm not sure if my sign was some sort of lemon or if they simply can't withstand direct sun but regardless this product did not meet my needs.

I will be returning it immediately, but I would still recommend it for applications where it wasn't going to be in direct sun because it looks decent.

Does the job. I drilled a couple of holes in it and zip-tied it to my screen door. Very visible, I can see it from the street. Haven't had anyone bother me yet.

Since we put this sign on our front door, we haven't gotten a single solicitor. It's great.

I like that this sign comes with double sided tape to hold it up. I also like how large it is compared to some other no soliciting signs. I put this in the entry way about a week ago and it is holding up fine. I put "poor quality" because the white border on the top and bottom of the sign were full of scratches and nicks. Could be that I received a bad one but it still works and is worth the $6 I paid.

_Bottom Line_ Yes, I would recommend this to a friend and would buy another if I needed to.

Bought this for our home's front door, since we seem to be on somebody's "will buy anything list." No kidding.

We get visits from steak salesmen, frozen food salesmen, electricity rate lowerers, security services, AT&T, curb painters, Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons, Pentecostals, roofers, tree trimmers, and vegetable salesmen.

You name it, they ring OUR doorbell. And I have a 6'3" John Wayne-type husband with an unconventional sense of humor who gets REALLY offended by these incursions on his time.

IF HE BEATS ME TO THE DOOR, he will actually (with a completely straight face and sincere demeanor) tell the Jehovah's Witnesses that he's an atheist, the Mormons that he's a Baptist minister, and the Pentecostals that he's studying to become a Rabbi. He tells everyone else that no matter what they're selling, we can't afford it.

I thought this sign might help me avert these interrupting episodes & so far, so good.

The sign's lightweight & easy to install (I used my own double-stick tape, not the bit supplied in the package). Cleaned the mounting area with rubbing alcohol & secured it to our wrought iron security door. It's not too offensive, yet the message is obvious & easy to read. It can be easily seen from our front walkway, so hopefully, it will decrease the unwanted foot traffic to our door. I think the sign might fade if in direct sunlight, but ours is shaded under a portico. Though the sign's plastic, it looks like a more expensive metal sign.

Very happy with this solution, though my hubby might have to find a new outlet for his own special brand of confrontational humor. Look out, telemarketers!

9/3/11 UPDATE: OOO-RAH! Works like a charm. Yet another uninvited Sales Visitor walked to the door, turned around, & went after the neighbors, instead. Neighbors need to read this review, don't they? "But dear, why in the WORLD would I need a 'no soliciting' sign?"

The sign comes with double-sided sticky tape to be placed where every you want without having to drill holes into your wall. I'm glad I bought it.
