Gr 1-5--Three entries in a series devoted to things kids collect. Minimal texts and an abundance of full-color photographs make these selections coffee-table books for beginning readers. Very basic advice on how to sort, display, and explain collections to others is offered. Boxed tips include information more appropriate for older readers (e.g., making a stand out of a coat hanger in Dolls; a brief explanation of scale in Model Cars). These titles are pleasant to look at, but serious collectors will want more in-depth material with addresses of organizations, clubs, sophisticated ways of storing and displaying, and identification procedures.
