What's with all this Capitol Jazz in mono that was once stereo?,

These tracks are inexplicably MONO, when they were issued on a true stereo LP by Capitol (SW 855). There seems to be a lot of this crap going on with the Capitol jazz catalog! "Kenton in Hi-Fi" was issued on both stereo LP and open reel tape, but the CD is MONO. Same thing with "The Atomic Basie, issued on stereo LP and reel tape by Roulette, but Blue Note/Capitol Jazz CD is again MONO. What's with all this MONO crap from Capitol of albums previously released in true stereo?

The entire collection of songs here were arranged by Joe Coccia. The album was recorded at the Reddezvous Ballroom. For the most part the sides are standards. There are two experimental compositions by Coccia, Desiderata and Two Shades of Autumn. Not a bad sounding album considering it wasn't recorded in a recording studio. It's a shame Blue Note/Capitol hasn't released the album on cd. For the price however the download is well worth it. Now if we could only get the Tex Ritter album released....lol.
