Best price I could find on tree straps on Amazon were these, and they work. For anyone who is looking to hang a hammock between trees, tree straps are the way to go. It makes it easy to adjust the height or move the hammock to a different set of trees whenever you like. Doesn't damage the tree either. They are long, and should reach around even very thick trees. The included S-hooks were thicker and heavier than those that came with my hammock. So far, we haven't had a problem with the straps sliding around anywhere or ripping, but they did stretch a little bit initially as I expected them to do. Nothing major, just slide them up a little bit and all is well.

I'm writing this to warn others of the poor construction that could prove to be dangerous. I use tree straps like this all the time, and replace every 1-2 seasons to be safe. I just purchased these a month ago, and after 3 uses, one of the straps literally ripped apart. My daughter who weighs 100 lbs is the person who usually uses it, but this time she was sitting with her cousin who weighs 120, so the total weight was 220... not excessive. Especially after only 3 uses. Fortunately, nobody was hurt. I've never experienced a problem like this before and will go back to my usual purchase from LL Bean. I'm returning these immediately!!

The first time we used it, we put the hammock up in the tree, as the directions state and it broke 2 days later. Very disappointed!

Our trees are WAY too far apart to set up a hammock. I originally purchased these thinking I could adapt an old hammock stand to make it into a current one - but the stand was too short.

However, we have a long, straight branch coming off of a black walnut tree. I was able to loop these around the branch (doubled), and use the hangers to place both ends of the hammock. I love being able to use the S Hooks to easily remove and store the hammock (plus hang it easily). These were easy to use, and I was able to find a way for them to meet my needs.

I wouldn't hesitate to use these for hanging a Hammock Chair from a tree branch - the S hooks are very adequate.

A nice set of straps. Should they fail, I will send an update from my iPhone from the emergency room, but if you don't hear, you will know they are still holding well.

(For those wondering - we are using these with Cape Cod Canvas Hammock 13000 by C. Alan. The short ends make it a perfect complement to hanging from a tree branch instead of from actual tree trunks.

Edited - my granddaughter and I shared the hammock today, with acombined weight of 270 pounds with no issues! Straps held securely.

I have had my Stansport tree straps for a year now. I bought them for my daughter to use on our primitive camping trips. I personally own the Pawleys Island Tree Straps. They cost more, but are heavier duty. I must admit that after a few trips into the wild, she is still using them. The Stansport straps have stood the test. They do not sag very much, as some straps do. If you camp as much as I do, you may want to invest in a set of Pawleys Island Tree Straps do to their durability (I love rugged gear). If you camp once or twice a year, these will serve you well and you can save the money. I see my daughter using them for several years to come. I can't remember the exact weight limit, but I think it's about 300lbs.

I used these straps to hang a hammock in my small back yard. In the past I've used ropes, or a combination of rope and chain, but I was excited to find a product specifically designed for the purpose of hanging a hammock.
I followed the instructions for hanging them, and was pleased at the new addition to my yard.
After two days of use (at most, two smallish people in a big hammock) one strap ripped in half near the tree it was wrapped around. My guest fell to the concrete below.

I was VERY disappointed at the quality of this item.
