"Stand Inside Your Love" is spectacular,a huge,booming,stadium-shaker,full of sonic fireworks and Billy Corgan's swoon inducing vocals.It was released when the Pumpkins had to prove they still had something like this in them,after thier pastoral mood experiment "Adore" left a lot of fans scratching thier heads.In that context, "Stand" is a triumphant statement of purpose,but in the long run,I think it will be seen as a classic love song,one that equals the rush of giddyness and dread and excitement and desperate,sweet pain that comes with love.

With the definite "smash" hit Stand Inside Your Love and the the extremely well written, well produced b-side, Speed Kills, this is going to sell great. Speed Kills contends w/ Stand Inside Your Love for the best song on the single. Reason why Billy Corgan and Flood decided to keep it off MACHINA-it didn't fit the theme.

Firsthand, I have to admit my dissapointment at the lack of "Speed Kills"'s inclusion onto "Machina". But, anyhow,both songs here demonstrate first rate rock billing and both are among the most impressive in the Pumpkin's entire musical canon. Great stuff!

This hard- to- find import c.d. features two tracks, "Stand inside Your Love", and "Speed Kills". As every Pumpkins fan knows, "Stand Inside Your Love" is a beautiful, dramatic song that deserves to be in every music lovers c.d. collection. However, the song that is also a gem is "Speed Kills". This song is a true gem. The song is put together, written, and performed beautifully. I strongly recommend that any person who is a Smashing Pumpkins fan, or a Machina fan, to go out today and pick up this c.d. because it is very, very good.

This cd truly is worth it for the second track, which is a different version than the one on Machina II.

"Stand Inside Your Love" was the official first single from their fifth album, Machina/The Machines of God (2000) and the first single released with Jimmy Chamberlin back in the band. The single contains one b-side, "Speed Kills", which appears in a shortened form on the vinyl and import CD versions of Machina, and in a heavier incarnation on the band's following album Machina II/The Friends & Enemies of Modern Music.

While "The Everlasting Gaze" was the first taste of material from Machina, with a radio promotional single released, and a high-energy music video filmed with new band member Melissa Auf der Maur, "Stand Inside Your Love" was ultimately released as the first commercial single. "Stand Inside..." was initially conceived to be similar to the new wave style of the band's earlier hit "1979"; however, Corgan opted for what he considered, "the classic Pumpkins sound".

You shoud buy this CD. Just for speed kills it's worth it and that song is the best ever. It's sad Tune is great.
Get it because when I ride with you tonight we can move at the speed of light forever young forever bright into the stars and rock tonight.

Billy Corgan and Smashing Pumpkins make outstanding music. This particular song is good, but not among the best in their quality body of work.

When I purchased this single and "Machina", I thought I was going to find "Ava Adore", my all time favorite Corgan classic. My local rock station had "Ava..." in heavy rotation during the release of "Machina", which I also bought. "Stand...", and the rest of "Machina" has some superior moments, but "Adore" and "Siamese Dream", plus the "Rotten Apples" awesome compilation are superior in consistency. Overall, unless you need to collect EVERY release in the Pumpkins discography, this cut is better to get from the aforementioned "Rotten Apples" which also includes more from "Machina." "Stand Inside Your Love" is a good song in general, for your average band, that its. However, when I hold it up next to other Corgan creations, it's not the one that I ADORE!

This song is a great song. It starts off soft and builds up to be a great rock song. The second best song on The Smashing Pumpkins latest album, "MACHINA/The Machines of God".
