BROADCAST ENGINEERING ESSENTIALS

Standard Handbook of Broadcast Engineering provides clear, comprehensive, and well-illustrated coverage of both DTV and DAB technologies. Presenting the material within the context of established radio and TV basics, this manual explains the underlying technologies of digital and analog transmission systems and bridges the gap between classic broadcast engineering principles and data with the latest digital technologies -- including DTV, NTSC, and digital audio broadcasting.

Essential to readers wishing to quickly and firmly grasp the industry’s fast-paced digital transition, Standard Handbook of Broadcast Engineering includes key equations and extensive reference data required for the design, specification, installation, testing, and maintenance of broadcast transmission systems.

FEATURING:

  • 57 chapters of today’s need-to-know broadcast and engineering and technical information, data, and reference material
  • Digital TV and data broadcast standards and implementation guidelines
  • Maintenance of RF systems
  • All types of antennas and receivers
  • Television and radio transmission systems
  • Testing procedures and equipment for new (and older) technologies
  • And much more!
