Standard Catalog of Military Firearms,

There are still some errors and omissions in this edition and in many cases the history doesn't go back to 1870. The values quoted are also different for the same gun listed for different countries. The values are a couple of years old in some cases. The information on automatic weapons appears to be good. I hope this will become as good as his Standard Catalog of Firearms.

By the time I received the book, prices changed significantly leaving the book with it covers open. Moreover, the book fails to be comprehensive, especially for the 1880s'.
However, the book is good start, and it does provide useful information. It best use is a"library" copy.
