FULL FUNCTION SECOND STATION WHERE YOU NEED IT MOST! This advanced remote operates as a full powered second station to the fly bridge, cockpit, tower or location of your choice. The RAM incorporates a remarkably large LCD with a speaker microphone that allows the user to remotely access all of the VHF functions. A 23-foot routing cable (extendable to 43 feet with 10 foot extension cables) and waterproof bulkhead mounting connector insure a clean professional-looking installation. RAM's coiled cable attaches at the bulkhead mounting plate, allowing quick removal for easy, secure stowage. The RAM Mic also has intercom capabilities giving you two-way communications between the radio and the remote. The RAM Mic is an optional remote second station for the STANDARD HORIZON NOVA +, INTREPID, and SPECTRUM. Includes Microphone with coiled cord and watertight male plug, microphone hanger, Jackpoint with watertight female jack and 23 foot cable. Can be extended with CAW23 extension cables available separately.

A new product but came through with box covered in dust looking like it had been in a warehouse for years. After a year's use the cable insulation failed (cracked) making me think the storage was not climate controlled and this product saw some extreme conditions. I ordered this product to replace one where the insulation had failed after 11 years of use in the elements. This took one year to do the same thing.

I was very pleased to find this product still available from an Amazon merchant. I believe it is now obsolete from the manufacturer, but the one I have used for years on our boat finally broke. I thought an entirely new radio would be necessary until finding this new replacement. The radio works well and delivery was prompt. Basically a new remote mic for about the price of just repairing the old cable.
