I previously purchased this product from my holistic vet. When it was time to re-order she was out of this product and so I decided to order it from Amazon to get it quicker. I love the product, but the expiration date on the product is Feb 2011. My mini-dachshund takes this product daily, but a bottle usually lasts for 4 months and since the expiration date for the product is in Feb 2011, I will have to re-order a couple of months before I really want to. Because of this, I will not order this product from Amazon again. This is not a knock on the product....the product is awesome and is really helping my dog to stay UTI free.

Excellent product for dogs with renal issues. Have been using it for over a year now.
Also, the merchant is reliable with quick shipping.

Our vet put my mom's 16 year old Pekinese, Sandy, on this medicine as she is experiencing kidney failture. We mix it with a little chicken broth and she drinks this every morning and evening. We were purchasing this from our vet but found that we could purchase it on Amazon for much less and it is the same exact product. Sandy also takes Azodyl (3 capsules per day) and we purchase this through 1-800-PetMeds for about 1/2 the price that the vet charges.

I am not a veterinarian, but based on personal experience, I highly recommend this product. Over two years ago, routine blood work indicated that my then 8-year old pit bull mix was in chronic kidney failure. I started him on this supplement, combined with a low-phosphorus raw diet. Subsequent blood tests show that his condition has not progressed, in fact it has even improved slightly. Most importantly, he is healthy, happy, energetic and still here with us!
