Let me go ahead and say first, Big boys need not apply. I have done nothing put on the pounds since I left the Navy and this was a wake up call to get back into the gym. If you don't have a similar physique to the guy in the picture then this rig will not fit you! The 1911 is pretty loose in this but the M9 (Beretta 92 series or Taurus PT92 series or similar) will fit near perfect. Go slow in assembling and keep referring to the pictures and you will get it right. I have always found it hard to fit the leather laces through the holes no matter the brand but they stay once put in place.

i doused it in lexol for 2 days and now looks like teddy roosevelt's
if you have a colt 45 acp 1911 you have got to get one of these

I read the other reviews and they were decently helpful. I received the holster and the 1st think I have to say is patience is needed. It took me about 45minutes to put together. If you have the standard military issue 9MM the holster will form nicely. I treated with leather conditioner and Lexor oil gave the leather a nice color and of course a beautiful smell wewwww. Anyways I will post pictures later.

It is a good holster. Looks very original and is it well made.
Assembly is requiered and it is pretty difficult. The instructions are not very clear.

Outstanding Holster; fits my Model 1911 like a glove. Its leather so will require some break in. It did take a fairly long time for delivery; but worth the wait.

The weapon fits nice and snug. The leather is of nice quality. As other reviewers mention, the instructions are weak, but if you follow them line by line they will get you there. It's also worth mentioning the unit in the picture shown has been assembled wrong. Perhaps they couldn't follow their own instructions. Regardless though, it's a nice unit.

Though the item is good, THE SELLER "The Sportsman's Guide" IS BAD!!!! I have dealt with these guys before and they accept the orders and charge your card, but the products are always back-ordered for about a MONTH! Not worth it to me... you can go to CheaperThanDirt.com and get it for $10 cheaper.
